The FA does not have any consistency at all despite this decision, although apparently it was made by an independent review panel.

Brother Leon 24-04-2013 02:38 PM

He got 7 last time for biting. Got 8 for being a disgusting racist...let's not act like 10 games is some travesty. It had to be more than 7 either way otherwise the FA looks weak.

Suarez was completely in the wrong here and deserved more than 3 games, but 10?

Defoe got a yellow card for biting last time, and Roy Keane got 5 games for the AIH debacle.

Some perspective is needed, and it seems like the FA have a perfect whipping boy to pretend to be tackling issues on. Whilst they still do ****** all about tackles like the Mcmanaman one.

It really is insane.

its clear a ban was needed but agreed 10 is more than it deserved in comparison to other bans dished out for tackles and racism which receive less. There is no consistency with the FA and people will continue to argue against them

I agree with the ban, thought he should have got more for the racism incident and look at the light ban John Terry got for the Anton thing.

Ryan57 24-04-2013 02:44 PM

You don't expect biting on a football pitch. Deserves his ban. Hopefully he'll learn to stop being a tw@t.

Hopefully he will learn his lesson, we moan about the FA but they can't win either way when it comes to debating the ban or mentioning incidents involving other players etc.

I wonder what Ivanovic thinks? His mother was quoted in the press saying she has not and does not want to see a video of what happened, which is understandable really.

Ivanovic is probably wishing he'd pressed charges, but unfortunately Roman will of said no as he wants to sign Suarez if available.

RAWK at its finest once again:

Makes such sense for Fergie to try and get rid of the team in seventh spot's striker instead of Aguero.

loan em to a spl side (motherwell please) our season starts 3 weeks before the premiership starts and since bans are transferred aswell ....

Brilliant idea. League of Ireland takes place during the summer, so loan him to Shamrock Rovers now and he'll be done with the ban at the end of June.'

'2013/14 Fixture list has just been revealed. Tricky looking start for us:

Brilliant.

He won't leave as he has unfinished business - something to prove to all his critics. What better way than to win the golden boot next season despite missing the first few games? He came to England to win trophies, and he won't quit now that the team are getting closer to success.'
Yep, really look to be getting closer.

Indeed. The stuff they come out with.

Not from RAWK (Boards.ie)

It was already admitted that his previous bite couldn't be taken into consideration when handing out this punishment. You are wrong about the issues with the racism thing, but Liverpool handled that situation terribly.

lets not pretend that 10 games is a fair ban, when it isn't.

Jesus. 24-04-2013 03:11 PM

I will say one thing though. I think RAWK is a joke of a site too, and is amongst Liverpool supporters, but united fans spending more time on that than their own sites is weird. I've never browsed redcafe, but if I did, no doubt I'd find a serious number of mongs on there too.

bbfan1991 24-04-2013 03:22 PM

I have read RAWK I must admit, same goes for Redcafe (I am not a member of RC btw). I even read an Arsenal forum:blush:.

That's fair enough. It's just this pretense that RAWK has a monopoly on idiot fans that does my head in. I'm a member of a Liverpool forum, and RAWK gets stick on there too.

If Liverpool fans could be bothered, they could highlight stupidity across all fan forums. That's the nature of being a fan - you get blinded by your own team.

I agree, you get some stupidity on all footie forums and it is easy to be bias towards your own team.

bbfan1991 24-04-2013 03:38 PM

I even went to look at a Crystal Palace forum just to see what their fans thought of Wilfried Zaha as a player in general and also about when his move to United was announced.

as a united fan do you think he'll be in and around the first team next season? really excited about seeing him in the PL

King Gizzard 24-04-2013 03:44 PM

Continual ripping the piss out of Liverpool on twitter is quite annoying, I quite like Liverpool, ish

I like pretty much every premier league club apart from Man City and Everton

King Gizzard 24-04-2013 03:50 PM

I don't really hate Everton as much now but we use to be battling for the same position for ages/the stuff of them being really skint/working on a shoestring is ****ing annoying as Moyes is one of the highest paid managers and their wage bill is pretty huge. Not like they're ever on the verge of administration

Yeah I think so. I can see Nani being sold, although Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young need to step up their form.

I hope Nick Powell will be around too and am looking forward to having Fabio back.

He's probably licking his lips since our wingers have been woeful all season.

King Gizzard 24-04-2013 04:23 PM

I've only really seen him play once, Romania vs England u21's, was brilliant that night, one move he took on about 6 players and won..but end product was a bit poor

I think the United coaches will be aware of his weakness and will try to work on improving his all round play obviously.

SAF needs to improve the United Midfield for sure. I have a feeling that Anderson might leave and that Scholes will probably retire. A few young lads will probably be given a chance, but some more experience in that area is needed for next season!

That still beats our wingers based on this season.

You can say that again. Porto appear to want fat Ando. Cash plus him for Joao Moutinho tbh.

bbfan1991 24-04-2013 04:30 PM

I think with a proper break for once this Summer the wingers will be raring to go next season.

Same goes for Rooney really, not his best season but still contributed a lot in other areas and the rest will benefit him.
