A tree down the road has knocked power lines here which is why we have no Power, Gav won't be able to drive home unless it's moved either, he'll have to leave his car somewhere and walk

The R617 between Tower and Blarney is blocked, with a couple driving their car on the road having a lucky escape when a tree came down on their car.

The roof has been blown off one of the stands at Turner's Cross, the home of Cork City FC. The roof has also been blown off the Coast Guard station at Schull in west Cork. A terraced house has its roof blown off at Ardcullen, Hollyhill in Cork city while the roofs have been blown off a number of premises and homes in Glanmire, Bartlemy and Kinsale in Co Cork.

The roof has been blown off a PE hall at Douglas Comprehensive school in Cork.

A number of yachts are dragging their anchors at Crosshaven in co Cork.

We played 30 seconds, it was carnage. We all get very competitive with board games  The power better come back soon or one of us will be done for murder. Back in work today we have power here yay. The place looked like the apocalypse had happened on the drive in, trees and powers lines down everywhere

I know, our house is grand thankfully, the garden gate got a bit smashed up and part of the fence blew in but nothing major, Gav fixed them this morning. Could be a while getting power back though which is annoying but it's out in loads of areas so they have their work cut out for them
