I've had a headache for 3 days :(

Ammi 01-06-2014 05:24 PM

..it's probably the change of air pressure and the weather atm Glenn....I've also been migrainy for a while..did you take something for it..?..

Glenn. 01-06-2014 05:32 PM

Only paracetamol. I've managed to catch it before it progresses to a migraine. After I get to a certain point, I know I can't do anything so I have to go to bed. Not reached that stage luckily but it's still a dull thud at the minute.

..yeah, I hate when it's like that and stays for days, I think it's better in a way if it does develop into a migraine because then it seem to go more quickly..I often put an ice pack on my head and that does soothe it a lot, Glenn...

Often it reaches a point where it's so painful I can't function, like walking feeling like my head is going to explode. Sometimes I have to make myself sick because it relieves it immediately.

Today I...

Bought my suit for graduation - it's black so it'll come in handy again for job interviews, weddings, funerals, other formal occasions...
Bought more razors and new hair product stuff
Arranged my contact lens + sight test for next Saturday
Had a huge clear out of clothes that are too big for me :D and filled three bags of stuff which I donated to a clothes bank
Bought 5x new t-shirts, 2x new belts, 1x new pair of jeans and 6x pairs of pants
Applied for a graduate job

:D

Glenn. 01-06-2014 06:06 PM

Organised people make me uneasy

..it does really sound like a migraine rather than a headache Glenn and I know, they are hard to function with without medication..you can get Migraleve over the counter now, it's quite expensive but really effective to cure them...

..well look at you..:amazed:...it's a lovely feeling when you sort through your stuff and clear out though and just generally feel organised, I bet you feel top of the world now, Greg...

Yeah! Today's been a good day of sorting things out. I expect I'll have many weekends of applying for jobs from now on though... I'm working with my dad temporarily but ideally won't be there for very long and have something permanent sorted out asap!

..oh I'll keep my fingers crossed for you for the jobs and hope you get some interviews...are they the kind of thing that you were hoping to do..?..yeah, I know it's not ideal to work for family, my eldest son worked for his dad for a while once but it was never meant to be a permanent thing and it got him over a period of not working and gave him money so it's ok for that but I think your dad probably thinks it's best for you to be doing something independently as well...

Yeah same situation here - they've been permanently short staffed for a year now; so it's win-win really - I get money and they get an extra person in the office who vaguely knows what they're doing. Well I applied for a job in logistics just there tonight; there are a lot of opportunities to get a good paying job here in Aberdeen but of course the cost of living is much higher too... but if I can get into one of these big corporations I can hopefully start earning a really good salary and move sideways and/or upwards to another city... I wouldn't really like to settle down here right now but maybe I would return to Aberdeen when I'm much older. The actual city itself is no place for a young person but even now I'm appreciating the fact that a 10 minute drive and you're out of the city and there are so many lovely places to see, potentially live in... if I had the money, of course.
