I thought it was okay, Bill doesn't seem too interesting so far but hopefully that will change and I really aren't that keen on Matt Lucas' character.

The Vault seems like it could be an interesting Season long arc, I'd assume it contains some sort of time device or prison that has the ability to recall old dead enemies which would explain the return of the old Cybermen and John Simms' Master.

Weren't they saying the first episode would make it "explicitly clear" that Bill was gay? It felt like the opposite of that to me, the whole episode I was just thinking Bill was a bit of a loner and wanted a best friend in Heather

For the BBC that is explicit, remember they don't want to frighten the horses.

I mean have you ever seen a darlek shoot a horse?

As for the next doctor, are the bookies giving odds on nobody - series cancelled? :hee::devil:

Loved this. Great family entertainment and Bill is fun. R.

Which upcoming artist is heavily underrated and deserves more recognition?

Not Emmerdale's Rishi being the bastard boss.

You're kind of obsessed pal.

You are very obsessed with the new series being cancelled. This isn't 1989.

Just watched today - quite enjoyed it tbh . Pleasantly surprised. Bill wasn't as bad as I expected and they seem to have improved the Nardole character a bit too... more of a real fleshed out character and less of a caricature. They've made him more quirky / eccentric but clearly not actually stupid... whereas in the previous appearances he was just two dimensional and daft.

Promos for Smile:

Morgan. 19-04-2017 06:10 PM

This series looks/is approximately 107% better than the last two combined.

Marsh. 19-04-2017 06:20 PM

I enjoyed series 8, but I AGREE.

Rob! 19-04-2017 06:25 PM

I loved series 8 and most of series 9 tbh. The first half anyway

MB. 19-04-2017 06:32 PM

I'll have to re-watch series 9 to really have any idea what to make of it (*cough* I'm talking to you, Netflix *cough*)

But yeah, series 8 was my favourite since 5, maybe even the Tennant era

The 1st Doctor (played by David Bradley) will return in the Christmas Special to 'help out' Peter Capaldi

Scarlett. 20-04-2017 10:53 AM

I wonder if he will meet his granddaughter again? o:

I like the idea, but I don't like the idea of David Bradley playing the 1st Doctor again. It's silly but in my eyes David Bradley didn't play The Doctor, he played William Hartnell playing The Doctor, if that makes sense? It would ruin the illusion of Doctor Who.

Am I making sense?

I know exactly what you mean! Also I'm sick of multi doctor stories altogether, the 50th special should have been a one off

I wonder if anything will be left as a surprise or if we will get every tiny surprise spoiled before we've even started watching the series properly yet.

Yes. I get you. He was playing William Hartnell.

But then they had Matt Smith appear in that episode as "the Doctor" rather than Matt Smith so the fourth wall was already exploded.

Robot of Sherwood and In the Forest of the Night were the only parts of series 8 that were trash

MESS at the whole of the earth turning into a forest and no one even caring.

Greg! 21-04-2017 12:22 AM

OMG series 8 also had that mental bloody episode where the Moon was an egg or something. That was a new low

Glenn. 21-04-2017 12:32 AM

That was a great episode

Glenn. 21-04-2017 12:33 AM

The moon egg one I mean
