Gonna be livening up this thread by starting on my BB13 re-watch! A really underrated season that despite its rigging for certain housemates, it's still a season that I thoroughly enjoyed. I also consider this season the last one in the BBUS transition era, when BBUS was changing from the social experiment era to the social media era.
Episode 1 (Brendon and Rachel are HOH): 1. Kalia 2. Dominic 3. Rachel 4. Porsche 5. Daniele 6. Cassi 7. Brendon 8. Jordan 9. Shelly 10. Lawon 11. Dick 12. Adam 13. Jeff 14. Keith Dominic calling Daniele a hoochie mama is one of the best quotes in BBUS history because of how ironic it is... The number of innuendo in the Banana HOH comp is so excessive I'm shocked the producers let it all air. :joker: Rachel: I ride on bananas all the time. It's all good, riding on a banana, then whip cream just explodes in my face. :smug: |
Kalia

final rank: Amy Danielle Marcellas Lisa Gerry Roddy Lori Tonya Jason Chiara Eric Josh out of the BBUS seasons i've watched now; BB10 > BB6 > BB2 > BB3 > BB12 > BB17 > BB16 the first four are all great seasons, i watched 16 and 17 live. plan is to watch up until all stars and then cba because i've heard all the other seasons are not worth watching |

Danielle played herself into a F3 scenario where she couldn’t win so
I would say watch 11 definitely. You’re not missing anything by skipping 14 and 19 but most of the other seasons at least have some redeeming qualities? |
20 is must-watch
I loved 7 while only seeing 6 before it but since you only need 4 & 5 you should prob watch those two first. 14-15 are garbage. 18 is kinda boring. The rest are at least "worth it" in some way |

Eh I find the editing of the newer seasons of BBUS annoying. The older seasons have a special vibe to them. Quote:

11’s a better season than 10 so definitely watch that
And honestly I’d probably say watch 15...at least it was dramatic :skull: and is probably the last “normal” season before they start the cringe editing |
BB11 is great
|
11's main crime is being part of that 10/11/12 era where Grodner's becoming wayyyy too comfortable as producer by feeding everyone cue cards to read in the DR and enacting bull**** twists that completely destroy the integrity of the game, but it is a house full of crazy people and you could randomly pick two HGs out of a hat and chances are they got into a fight or a screaming match at one point or another
|
11 gives you plenty, and I mean PLENTY, of dramatic arguments but it's not all that likable of a season though. Still good but not great (I'd say overrated).

Alright! For the first time ever I'm watching a BBUS that isn't CBBUS. I'll be going chronologically so am beginning with Season 1, a controversially alleged "boring" season for being the first and only one to do the UK format, as well as the flaw that I fear much more that for most of it evictions only take place every two weeks. Also seems to have a longer length to it than what I've seen most other seasons have.
Premiere 1. Brittany 2. George 3. Jamie 4. Cassandra 5. William 6. Josh 7. Eddie 8. Jordan 9. Karen 10. Curtis Not a bad premiere, started off looking promising in how vintage it seemed, but the VT's (is that what they're called in America?) quickly began looking a bit cookie-cutter and by the book. In the UK, you see the good and bad sides of a person but here everyone got portrayed as these pretty down-to-earth and kind people and that's a little boring. The people I have in green had some promising personalities though. |
Week 1 (Jordan and William nominated)
1. Brittany (-) 2. Jordan (+6) 3. Karen (+6) 4. William (+1) 5. Jamie (-2) 6. George (-4) 7. Cassandra (-3) 8. Eddie (-1) 9. Curtis (+1) 10. Josh (-4) Why do people think this is a boring non-event of a season? Just because it uses the nomination format of the UK and doesn't have strategy? I'm open to thinking it'll get boring after a while but the beginning has not been bad at all! William is a problematic mess, and an interesting type of drama starter who goes way too far in how politically progressive he is, but it's a very organic and entertaining sight, even though I'm hoping he'll be evicted first before he gets too much (I'm guessing he will, they had a bookmaker in who said Jordan was the second favourite to win while William is already 100/1 with little to no shot with the public :joker:). And Jordan even better, the way she blew up when being nominated because none of them wanted to admit to putting her and William up and then they clock how boring to live with the rest are :laugh2:. |
Perched for you to see the early classics
Never bothered with BB1, might do one day but it’s waaaay down my list of priorities  |
Oh God, not BBUS1

Just the different format & how oddly it's edited by comparison was a turnoff for me. BBUS2 is actually great, should get to that! :clap1: |
