The whole Neville speech in the film was silly. Harry's speech in the book was much better but doubt Radcliffe could've pulled it off really.

Ninastar 11-04-2013 10:34 PM

I agree. I thought most of the ending was rubbish. The line Ron says in the book about disinheriting the kids is hilarious.

InOne 11-04-2013 10:36 PM

And I loved in the film they all just stood there blankly when Voldermort said Harry had died, nobody reacted or anything, was weird. In the book McGonegal breaks down and screams

Marsh. 11-04-2013 10:38 PM

McGonagall: "Boom!"

:worship:

King Gizzard 11-04-2013 10:39 PM

I don't think I will ever get over how poor an actor Daniel Radcliffe is more than anything

Should have switched it up early so the difference wasn't as noticeable

They ruined the whole flow of the movies when they started changing massive bits. Think it mostly started with OOTP

Smithy 11-04-2013 10:55 PM

I purposely didn't reread the books till after i'd seen the film so I wasn't too disappointed (I wasn't :D) and although the film's good when you realise how much they cut out, it coulda been a lot better

Ninastar 11-04-2013 11:00 PM

I think when they redo them in 10 years or so, they won't leave anything out. Hopefully anyway.

Smithy 11-04-2013 11:01 PM

They better not remake them

Glenn. 11-04-2013 11:07 PM

The Order of the Phoenix film is diabolical.

The book was amazing

And the battle at the end of Half Blood Prince was cut from the film because 'they didn't want to over do the battle scenes before DH'

King Gizzard 11-04-2013 11:08 PM

doubt anyone would take on doing the films in full again

King Gizzard 11-04-2013 11:09 PM

Can see JK selling out eventually and allowing them to do a stand alone film, though

It wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if it was done right

I wish that film didn't exist. :bored:

Apparently over 2 hours were cut from that film.

I heard that we got extended versions of 1 & 2 because Columbus allowed for that footage to be released from the vault. Those movies are pretty much complete book to film transfers in my opinion. (Should have had Peeves though.:nono:)

But apparently Cuaron, Newell and Yates haven't given permission for the deleted scenes to be released. I would have thought that it would be completely up to Warner Brothers whether or not extensions were made. But i've heard this a few times.

Glenn. 11-04-2013 11:42 PM

I've seen pictures of the deleted scenes from OotP. The battle at the ministry was cut drastically :bored:

They even filmed the Brain Room when they attack Ron too

Surely it would be the worst criminal offence to never release that footage...

Peeves  my sister was reading out loud to my other sister on holiday, and they were in fits of laughter when peeves bullies moaning myrtle in the chamber of secrets ...when he says 'you forgot spotty' hahaha then he throws moldy peanuts at her... Best scene ever.

Haha! He was in the game as well! Never got why they didn't put him in. It wouldn't have took much effort and he would've been hilarious.

I remember reading that Rik Mayall played Peeves in Philosopher's Stone but they ended up cutting him out :bored:

I detested this girl's acting in every scene she did. She made Radcliffe look like Daniel Day Lewis.

I doubt it was 2 full hours. Sounds like a waste of money on the length of a whole other film.

Yeah, the game character looked a lot like him, so it must've been based on early footage.
