Carlito's Way - Not too good really.

setanta 27-04-2010 03:01 PM

You didn't like Carlito's Way?

Little Voice - Lovely little film, and you can't go wrong with both Michael Caine and Brenda Blethyn in this type of form.

Nah not really, not up there with any of the good gangster movites and Pacino didn't have that anger about him, I dunno, he just didn't hit it on that performance I thought

Oh, I thought he was pitch perfect as the reformed ex con, seeking redemption and a new start within the fabric of a culture that continues to suck the soul from his being, never allowing him to break free from his past. One of his most affecting performances for me.

zotler. 28-04-2010 07:05 AM

The Hot Chick - total WTF film, but it was fun.

One word.... Rubbish!

Iron Man 2.

Just as good as the first. I'd go as far as saying this series is the best super hero franchise of all time. Let's just hope the dreaded curse of 'the 3rd instalment' doesn't continue into this franchise (if a 3rd film is actually made).

Decided to have a look at the second Twilight film (even though the first one was absolute drivel), because I was still wondering what all the fuss was about. Well, this one is even worse than the first hackneyed, teen romance stupidly posing as a vampire movie with absolutely no teeth.

Night of the Demon. Great old school supernatural horror.

Firewire 30-04-2010 08:41 PM

The Last Song. It was an amazing film and Miley Cyrus was brilliant in it. Although, towards the end it gets extremely sad and it's very moving. 9/10

RtooDee2 01-05-2010 07:04 AM

Sex Drive. A lot better than i thought it would be.
Seth Green is so funny in it.

Finally got round to watching Paranormal Activity - (Blair Witch only indoors) - had some really creepy "hide behind the cushion" moments, but a bit slow. Good but predictable ending.

GypsyGoth 01-05-2010 06:13 PM

Iron Man 2, it was ok, a bit confusing. I seen Kick Ass yesterday, that was much more fun.

Niamh. 02-05-2010 10:10 AM

Along came a Spider, it was really good, love Morgan Freeman

Tom4784 02-05-2010 11:01 AM

Ghost World, I rather enjoyed it.

Shaun 02-05-2010 11:46 AM

Somehow managed to watch 3 and a half last night: Knocked Up, The Hangover, Little Miss Sunshine and a bit of Superbad.

Have seen all before though.

setanta 02-05-2010 01:35 PM

Anatomy of a Murder. Brilliant courtroom drama with the great Jimmy Stewart.

setanta 03-05-2010 01:50 PM

Witness for the Prosecution. Excellent mystery which was a real change of pace for Billy Wilder and Charles Laughton plays the lead with his usual panache, owning the camera throughout as the defence attorney.

Shasown 03-05-2010 02:00 PM

Avatar, entertaining.
