This is why I can't stand the sport. It's a medium of control, nothing more. Keep the public happy. Same with 'club loyalty'. The managers don't have it. The players don't have it. Why do the fans? If Carragher plays for even 10 mins you're out of the World Cup or you'll lose that particular game. It's as simple as that. Upson to a lesser extent.

Oh no, you don't get drawn against their group in the second round. Have to wait until the quarters, unless you're beaten by someone like Germany, Ghana, Serbia or Australia first, which could defo happen.
