Who said she refused to wear it though, maybe they just gave her that one?

I was just going to ask if Dave, Caoimhe and John were asked if they would wear an England top or if the production team second guessed them.
I would have been deeply offended if I was given a Scotland top and would have refuesd to have worn one or an England. I'm British by birth, Scottish by imposition.

I think the real question here is why are the people who are bothered about, actually bothered about?

Big Brother Fan 02-07-2010 01:51 PM

Silly subject, I would have lost all respect for her (If possible) had she worn the England shirt

Yeah but it was a task, a penalty shootout, BB wasn't asking them to sing the national anthem when the england team were playing a match.
It's all part of the fun, they're spoil sports. If the match was England vs Wales or Ireland then it wouldn't be fair no, oh wait they didn't even qualify.

How did they spoil the fun by not wearing the same shirts exactly? and why do you care what T-Shirt they wore?:conf:

And we should have qualified:devil: maybe it would have been better if ye didn't! :joker:

^ i wasn't the one who made the thread, I was only giving my view. If they refused to wear that shirt then it would be a spoilt sport thing to do, however they probably just got given the shirts, Keeva being Irish got an ireland shirt, and Dave a welsh badge, JJ still got an england one though?!
Yesss, but seeing the teams that got through, if england scraped through, they wouldnt have made it past quarter finals, sad but true

well apparently Dave, Caoimhe and JJ all got there own countries shirts but JJ wanted an England one cos his parents are English and he has a British passport. So Dave and Caoimhe just took what BB gave them, they didn't get England ones and hand them back demanding their own countries!

Ohh that makes sense then :) and JJ did seem to be into the England vs Germany match, which made me think he probably supported England. True, and if they did ask for them changed, it would probably be in a joking kind of way like "big brother if you think im wearing that shirt, no, no way"

Exactly, I think there are people on here who just like to see an issue where there isn't actually one!

I think the whole task was wrong. I would think the same if it was Ireland playing and the had to sing the Irish National Anthem.

1. It is the uk big brother not the English big brother as some people in this thread have said. The uk includes Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

2. Taken into account past animosity within the uk it is wrong to have a task which is about celebration of 1 country.

3. Big brother is about being away from the outside world. Why let the world cup invade that. I seem to recall in BB2 Dean asked if he and Bubble could do some task so they could watch an important football match. They said no.

4. As Shabby quite rightly said. People with no interest in football are left in the dirt. A reward should be something the whole house should like.

5. Had Caoimhe put on the England shirt and sung the NA. She would be crucified by the press and many of the people in Ireland (north and south) The amout of fuss in the southern press over Bryan Mcfadden changing his name to the English translation. But that would be like nothing. She would be hated.
