I have to agree that there is something that is incredibly creepy in respect of their need to be close - it's quite unsettling. I've known several sets of identical twins in my time: and I've NEVER seen anything remotely like the way these two behave with each other.

I accept that's the case with some twins too but then on the other side, I have 2 sets of twins as cousins, one set female and one set male, they are, without the zany behaviour, almost the same as Jedward in that they hate being separate anywhere, they eat the same things go to the same places, dress identical near most of the time.Always go on holiday together.
If they come to family or others gatherings/parties they are dressed identically.the amazing thing is they also seem to know what the other thinks too.I have listened to them say word for word at the same time answers to things

On the rare times I have seen one without the other, they are very quiet, keep away from all that is going on really.Once the other is there it's like someone put the plug in the socket and switched them on.

Which is why because I have seen this closeness in my own family as to twins,Jedward don't seem to be odd at all to me.

They are likely more intense, close and protective on things because they are in show business, their closeness will help massively there because the world of showbusinesss is filled with false people and usually fair weather friends.

Their zaniness and off behaviour at times is part of their act and appeal, some love it, like I do, some detest it totally. You can however say that with near everyone in showbusiness.

Some thought, just as an example, Tommy Cooper a genius, others thought he was plain stupid.

They don't drink, they don't smoke, they don't swear. they don't bitch, they haven't maimed anyone in a bare knuckle fight, they haven't had their children watch them become a drug and alcoholic mess. They've made a mess in a house that nobody's saved their hard earned cash to buy, its just a set for a TV show - Jeez they're evil sons of bitches

All of which you say above may indeed be true ... but it still doesn't mean people should like them. None of that mitigates them from being incredibly selfish in the house, destructive towards the furnishings and fitting, clearly disregarding and disrespecting the place that is not only their home, but the home that they are sharing.

Food stuffs being dropped on the floor, being left for hours, refusing to clean it up, having other hms needing to do it instead.

It's like they've been brought up in Disney World all their lives or something. It's all about having "fun" to them.

CaudleHalbard 04-09-2011 01:09 PM

I imagine their parents are very proud of them and would not for one single second accept there was anything wrong with the parenting.

I was amused though at this from Twitter:

Jedward/Amy are talking about marriage. The boys have said that if no one asks her, they'll marry her when they're older
They'll marry her? Bigamy? :D

They haven't got a clue really have they?

Add to all that pinching ,which to me is a dirty, low crime and before Jedward fans jump on to tell me it was fun ..it was NOT it was theft

clearly they have been raised to disrespect the belongings of other people, to disrespect shared spaces, expect to make a mess of the place and not clean up after them.

Flooding the bathroom for nothing more than attention seeking. Eggs being chucked all over the bedroom where people have their personal belongings - where they have to sleep.

Dont' get me wrong here: they've livened up the show: I won't deny that.... but let's not kid on that they are 2 really nice polite, well mannered, respectful young men with absolutely no faults.

I'd like to see how they would react if BB came in, got all their personal clothing, shoes etc and smashed raw eggs into them - jedward are very protective over their own belongings...shame they have no respect for anyone elses.

Sorry ...I must have missed the bit where he's pinched stuff in the house. Isn't that what we are discussing? Big Brother and what is happening with those in the house?

joeysteele 04-09-2011 01:15 PM

They've always cleaned up after most of the mess that they make in the actual house though.the only thing they didn't clean up was after the cooking task and I doubt they were really expected to.

That wasn't done in the house kitchen, it was set up in a task room,in all BBs no matter the mess after tasks housemates never cleaned up the task rooms, paid BB staff do that.
Just as with Lucien and Tara on a special room off the house for their special meal, they threw food and drink at each other but again as ever BB staff are paid to clean those rooms, housemates are responsible for the main house.

As for stealing, they should have asked Amy for the eyeliner, however she would have given them it anyway had they asked, yes that was ill advised but hardly the crime of the century.
In the past housemates have taken shoes and hidden them, really stolen others cigarettes, drink and biscuits too.

They will likely re-imburse Amy with hundreds of eyeliners if she wants them, she was just having a really bad day that day.

Would you mind getting up please and stop using the shin pads ...we're gonna need to keep them for Lucien at the rate he keeps falling over himself - save his pretty little legs from those nasty bruises.

:D

Well, my dislike for Kerry Katona is based on stuff that happened outside the house, that's my prerogative , it gives a more well rounded opinion to take both inside and outside the house into consideration..................in my opinion of course

I think you will find that's incorrect.

In the first week, one of them pulled a large plastic container full of somethign like coleslaw from the fridge - opened the lid, and just about poured it out all over the floor - he tilted the container, it began dripping out and he let it.... stood there and let it then threw the container on the floor beside the mess. Not only did he allow the full contents to spill out, he then chucked the lid down beside the rest of the mess.

he then went away: left it, for him and is brother to continue their attention seeking Jedward faux interview show - in which I think Lucien, amy and Bobby sat there and watched..... with the twins having their shoes/clothes spread all over the palce.

Despite being told to clean the mess up, it was left for ages... until poor Kerry came along and did it;.

Didn't Kerry have to lose the rag with them only the other night with the mess they had made - having to TELL them to get it cleaned up,.
...... as well as the Kitchen task.

they have no respect of anyone or anyone's belongings in their. None

CaudleHalbard 04-09-2011 01:22 PM

Jedward are a mixture of nice and not so nice.

OMG............. perhaps they are actually quite............ NORMAL ???

Conversely: I intensely dislike Paddy and his persona outside; yet I watch BB and base my thoughts on how I see him interact in that environment, with the others that he is sharing the BB house with. Given that it is a rather surreal and unnatural environment to be in. ;)

well, each to their own I guess

joeysteele 04-09-2011 01:27 PM

I think I said to be fair 'most' things in my post not all.Highlighting the main thing they didn't clean up as after the cooking task in the false kitchen in the task room.
After Kerry told them to clean the mess up, they did and even Darryn said they'd done a brilliant job all through the house, it was possibly cleaner than when they all went in it.

Still I give up trying to get people who really hate Jedward to give any credit to them, they only ever look for the negatives of them personally and professionally.

It's a rare thing to find in showbusiness an act that doesn't use foul language,on stage or on TV, they never do, they always say thank you to people too. Few notice that though, just looking for something to put them down on.
