It's been decided Arista, Smithy's grotto won, but then people carried on voting. :D

Surely the idea of such a vote is to have a deadline placed on it, otherwise it's not a vote - it's a 'select' group who have made the decision on their own - given that the votes are still taking place.

Pretty pointless in having the thread in the first place really - clearly it's not a vote then, it's a group making their own choice and not bothering about what all the 'voters' wanted.

I think Arista was pointing out not the lack of effort in your part - but more that the thread has no real purpose in that what the thread is about: voting - it appears to now be a waste of time since it's been decided (???) but yet votes are still being cast. :conf:

It's a fair and reasonable point.

I would have picked Smithy's Grotto as well, but I didn't know it was a multi choice poll, so that means it would have 10 votes and thus be the winner.

It is settled then, I've added a vote on to Smithy's Grotto :) I wasn't sure how long the poll was meant to be kept open and with two options being tied for ages it was hard to close it but I have done now

Which does to a small degree, give weight to Arista's point a little.....

if you didnt realise it was multi choice, other's too may not have realised - and again, surely a vote should be a one only vote (imo) - not multiple choice.

Andif I voted for Kelis'.? or would that suddenly not count?

Some people might be happy with more than one name, and a multi choice poll gives them the chance to show that

If you truly, genuinely, wanted Kelis' Milkshake Parlour then why on Earth didn't you express any desire to do so until after the poll was closed?
