I think she was highly annoyed and thinking what brings a person to do that. They were rightly still annoyed in the morning and she deserved an apology or explanation from Denise. To act as if nothing has happened is like a slap in the face.

I understand perfectly where you're coming from but that last sentence is where our opinions divide. I can see we're on the same page with everything until the BIB. lol

IMO they are not as annoyed as they're making out and are knowingly continuing the drama for the sake of drama.

If I believed for a second Karissa was genuine in her upset then I'd completely agree.

Thanks for your welcome Wong and Inone. These forums are usually a bit pointless as I think most people won't really change their mind. But it's always nice to see that there are some others that see the world as you do.

What I slightly cringe at, is the idea that the twins will be ejected to a howling mob, and subjected to questioning along the lines of 'Why did you over-react?' I mean their bound to go home thinking that Britain (and by extension us Irish that watch) has a very strange value system.

I've had the good fortune to travel all over America. And I hate teh Anti-yank crap that's so prevalent all over Europe. By and large, Americans would put all of us to shame with their manners. I was at a baseball game in Chicago a few years ago. When the opposition stepped on the mound I was fascinated not to hear evn one single word of abuse. For the whole of the game I never Iheard the F word (and was very careful not to use it myself). It was a complete family day out. Parents and kids all over the gaff. Beer sold at the stadium, yet I didn't see anybody drunk. When would you see that on the British Isles?

Say what you like about the yanks - they know how to behave themselves. We've all lost the plot. And when people try to defend loutish behaviour as a joke, it makes me despair all the more.

I'd advise you not to watch Bit on the Side tonight.

The views expressed this evening would send you into a deep depression. :(

BB at it's worst.

Thank goodness then that not everyone has the same view as you. BB certainly did not feel her behaviour was acceptable - either to the housemate or the viewer. I happen to agree with them on this one.

That was less to do with a genuine apology at the time and more to do with Denise thinking she could get away with it, with her constant insistence "You'll forgive me in the morning". Really? Denise needs to learn not to assume she knows people in that house well enough to know what they will do or not (as she pointed out her very self to Nicola).

But, I have a very hard time believing Karissa is as offended as she's making out. That's probably the reason I have the opinion I do because the way she acted in the diary room and in tonight's highlights.

It matters not if there was no malice behind it. Denise's behaviour was unacceptable. That's the crux of it. It was unacceptable - as it has been throughout the show - and the level of unacceptable behaviour from her is increasing with every passing day.

The first time she said 'You will forgive me tomorrow' was a question. Krisstina (I think) then replied 'Yeah, I will forgive you tomorrow but I'm pissed right now' to which Denise said 'ok, you'll forgive me tomorrow'. She didn't just assume she would be forgiven, she was asking a question.

My point precisely, thank you for reinforcing it.

Denise still wouldn't let it go despite being told by Krisstina that she was pissed off right now.... still Denise didn't have the grace to shut her mouth, preferring instead to insist that she (Denise) would be forgiven in the morning. Well, she was wrong. :D As usual.

If Denise had done that to me she'd have needed another trip to the dentist.

I agree. She thinks it's 'all about her'. It's okay for her to think it was just a bit of fun, to hell what anyone else thought.

It's okay for her to bleat on that 'people just don't get me', when the truth is: she doesn't 'get other people'.

It's been going on since week 1 when she said to Michael, "Why don't you ask me about my life, about me".

It's about me, me, me with Denise.

Unfortunately I lived and grew up with someone who was far far worse than Denise - and believe me - alcoholics are the most selfish, self absorbed people in the world who blithely stumble through life not realising the havoc they wreck along the way - and they are experts on deflection and in rounding up pity, all the while focusing on themselves and how they feel only.

Me too, My stepfather was the worst kind of alcoholic & I can see quite a lot of similarities (not all) in her behaviour, mostly deflection and not acknowledging responsibility.

You grab a post from the middle of a conversation I was having with another poster and made a presumption.

I never claimed her behaviour was acceptable. You'd know that, if you read my posts properly. I won't repeat myself because I'm pretty over this topic now, I've exhausted the discussion in numerous threads.

Let's be frank here Denise is not right in the head and doesn't behave like most decent women her age.

Don't fall out 08 & pyramid, I'm a mostly lurking FM.
Both of you, I can understand the perspective.

Denise as nothing to apologize for, it's all the alcohol's fault, obviously

I'm sure that's the case,

Och no chance, honestly. I may not necessarily agree with Marsh08 on this one, but there's been plenty other topics that I / we have agreed. That's the fun of the forum, sometimes folk agree, sometimes we dont- but no,no,no - no problem with Marsh at all. Cross my heart hope to die.

*grabs heart and keels over* :D

LOL... Seriously, all cool here.

Who's saying she can't get sh!tfaced? It's because she turns into a dick when she's had a drink that's the problem. She gets in peoples faces, she makes threats, she exposes people.

The fact that she's the catalyst for most of the rows in the house says it all

For the record, i do get sh!tfaced sometimes but i'm not a 'bad drunk' causing drama, like Denise.

so she cant handle her drink, once again she isnt the only one did we not see nicola in the jacuzzi with frankie? the reason SOME people have had rows with denise is because she can be annoying, whether shes annoying drunk or not thats her.. but her age has nothing to do with it.. im used to hearing people tell youngers to watch their drink, but a 53 yr old should be able to drink what she wants she made a mistake and also apologised for it.. so really is no reason to judge her so harshly tbh..
