I'm sure if he was suffering from PTSD they wouldn't let him on the show? I think he's just a dick

Bluerang1 07-05-2012 10:12 PM

I know they deserve it but goodness are they dull. All dominating couples seem to be. It's not that, Rachel is great but Dave saps all that energy with his Davenss.

Marc 07-05-2012 10:14 PM

I would have liked it more had Brenchel or Vanessa/Ralph had won

Bluerang1 07-05-2012 10:14 PM

Oh and my heart warmed when the Rachels said either of their teams should win. Lovely :)

Marc 07-05-2012 10:16 PM

I'm more glad that Art/JJ didn't win :)

Right, because PTSD is just that serious and life threatening right?

And Bluerang I wasn't directing my comment at you, but rk3388, as usual.

Oh well, I'm probably the only one who's downright happy about it all. I didn't find Brenchel as great and as entertaining as everyone made them out to be this season. Rachel was in her prime her first BB season and it's been downhill ever since.

rk3388 08-05-2012 12:48 AM

^ PTSD can be life threatening, it certainly makes someone unstable in a reality tv show.

rk3388 08-05-2012 12:51 AM

And they deserve it because theyre the only team int he F4 that didnt make my blood boil while watching them! And troy, everyone has different opinions, perhaps i also think they deserved it because they were the only team in the F3 without a first, while rachel and dave already won a million trips

Macie Lightfoot 08-05-2012 01:22 AM

Perhaps you should use a different word rather than deserving, because clearly the most deserving team won.

SoBig 08-05-2012 09:37 AM

This was the first and final time I'm ever watching the Amazing Race. Its very corny. Even more so than those Big Brother challenges. The team that won, deserved to win even though they annoyed me. Brendon and Rachel could have won, if they had read the instructions carefully.

Marc 08-05-2012 09:57 AM

 Snappy Snappy troynuncdicit

If you read back through my posts I clearly state that Rachel/Dave deserved the win.

Rachel and Dave were the most competitive. But I thought the season was made by the drama and the two teams that dominated that were Rachel and Brendon and Art and JJ. Obviously I wanted the Big Brother team to win out of those two (just to see the vitriolic haters on forums explode), but never expected it. Rachel and Dave easily got the best edit of the 3 finalists and so I expected them to win.

Overall I thought the cast was the strong point of the series, less interesting teams generally got eliminated early. The tasks were good at times, but were too many local work tasks rather than more spectacular things. The leg designs were too short at times, and they should have visited more countries (and definitely gone to a colder climate). There was some suspense in a few legs, though they also tried to manufacture suspense by rather unconvincing editing at the end of some legs.

I never said that you didn't say Rachel/Dave didn't deserve to win. If you read back through my posts, I clearly state that my comment was directed towards rk3388

Yes, but I wouldn't say it would make someone psychologically incapable of running the race.

lostalex 09-05-2012 03:58 AM

i was definitely rooting for Mark and Bopper the entire series, but i'm happy with the result.

obviously there is a spectrum, just like all psychological diseases.

starry 09-05-2012 06:10 AM

Mark and Bopper had probably one of the best edits ever (though they were too over the top to be true I think), Rachel probably had one of the worst edits (we hardly ever saw Brendon putting her down, there was an insider vid at least). The head shaving thing was ridiculous, they wanted to highlight Uchenna and Joyce and not the first couple who actually didn't do it. The fact they even gave the second last word to Mark and Bopper, as if they were the second placed team, was ridiculous. While they could be funny, their keeping out of arguments to look good didn't really impress me that much. They only spoke out after the race against Vanessa, and only spoke out in the race against Art and JJ when they prodded them over the u-turn. They should have stood with their alliance (R&B and N&J) better. And yeh I have sympathy for their daughter over the asthma (which I suffer from too) but that isn't going to be used to make them my favourites in the race. Just like Nat's diabetes being pushed towards the end of TAR 17 wasn't going to make them my favourites (though they were ok), I preferred Brook and Claire. It's often pretty obvious who the producers favourites are and so who they want us to like the most, and I guess most of the audience will go along with that in America. :D
