seems pointless having two English teams playing over there.. could find a better ground in England to play at with more fans

Locke. 01-04-2013 05:54 PM

Tranmere :(

Can't believe they're going to actually throw the whole season away right at the end

King Gizzard 01-04-2013 05:56 PM

Drew. 01-04-2013 06:01 PM

Gundogan looking good tonight for Dortmund.

Brother Leon 03-04-2013 07:30 PM

Wow. Just done some Maths and IF we get wins over City and Stoke then I could witness the title win at Upton Park!. Think City will be a draw but still. My predictions say we win it next match against Villa at Home.

Novo 03-04-2013 07:41 PM

Galatasaray don't deserve to be 2-0 down, Eboue and Drogba have had great chances, they could have had a penalty and Real Madrid arguably should be down to 10 men.. Ozil running the show in midfield though >

Joseph Barton ‏@Joey7Barton
2 questions for Thiago Silva. Firstly, Why are YOU talking about ME, in your press conference before PSG v Barca? Very strange.

Joseph Barton ‏@Joey7Barton 12h
Secondly, Are you Pre-Op or Post-Op? #transsexual #thiagosaladyboy

On social media networks today, Olympique de Marseille player Joey Barton launched an entirely unacceptable attack on Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva. These attacks represent a serious incident and go much further than a mere verbal insult. The Club directors, players and coaching staff stand in solidarity with Thiago Silva and refuse to accept such declarations. The Club also restates its unwavering attachment to the values of respect that should be the foundation of our sport.
Thiago Silva and Paris Saint-Germain reserve the right to take any legal action it deems necessary and responsible in this incident

Brother Leon 03-04-2013 08:16 PM

Barton is pathetic and Silva is 10 times the player he'll ever be tbh.

Ryan57 03-04-2013 08:19 PM

Second tweet is fantastic.

Novo 03-04-2013 08:22 PM

He called him overrated as well before the game and then Thiago Silva went and had a great game.. he is just constantly making a tit of himself all the time on Twitter he just needs to quit before he ends up saying something on there that will destroy his career even more

Vincent Kompany wants derby win to be crowned champions of Manchester

Vincent Kompany wants Manchester City to beat Manchester United on Monday at Old Trafford to be the "champions of Manchester". Despite his side being 15 points behind Sir Alex Ferguson's team, the defender is intent on victory against them and in the FA Cup semi-final with Chelsea the following weekend to ensure a strong finish to the campaign.

"It would be nice to challenge them [United] on their turf again," Kompany, the City captain, said. "A derby is a derby. I don't think we could care less about the league in that game. It is about who is going to be champions of Manchester.

"It is always important as a group for everyone to take responsibility [for the points deficit]. Collectively it is disappointing. At the same time, I feel there is still a lot to look forward to. Whichever way we finish this season might set us up for the next one.

"I always remember the way we finished the season when we won the FA Cup [in 2011]. We finished equal points with Chelsea, which was a massive boost for us. We secured a place in the Champions League and also won the FA Cup. The year after that we went on to win the title. The end of one season has an impact on how you start the next one."

Last season's corresponding fixture at Old Trafford ended in City routing United 6-1. "I don't expect Manchester United to be less motivated because they have this points gap between us where they are pretty safe," Kompany added.

"It will be like a one-off game. It will be like a cup final. There will be everything in it. For the neutrals we have enjoyed a couple of great derbies in the last couple of years. I can only wish the same with a happy ending for Manchester City.

"I have never been someone who has milked the result we had last year. Those things don't happen often. For me it is a one-off game and everything that has happened in the past has no importance whatsoever next Monday. It is about coming out on top in that game. I am looking forward to it and I think everyone else at Manchester City is too."
