District Judge Howard Riddles said that the matter was too serious to be heard at the magistrates' court and would be committed to Southwark Crown Court on January 9, 2014.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed details of the charge earlier this month.

CPS London Chief Crown Prosecutor Baljit Ubhey said: "The Crown Prosecution Service has today authorised the Metropolitan Police Service to charge Tulisa Contostavlos, 25, with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

"This charge relates to an investigation by The Sun newspaper between early March 2013 and 23 May 2013 which resulted in the supply of Class A drugs to an investigative journalist."

Contostavlos's legal team has clashed with The Sun newspaper over its role in the incident.

Justice has prevailed, hope this guy gets punished for his bare faced lies.

My gut feeling from the start was that she was set up. Now I hope Tulisa can rebuild her career and move on from what was a horrid year for her.

The N-Dubz star hit Savvas Morgan during an altercation at the V Festival in Essex. She was found guilty by a judge at Stratford magistrates court in east London on Friday.
