It's not the show you want it to be and it never will be and I for one find YOU incredibly arrogant to assume that you're opinion is divine

He is perfectly within his rights to criticise the work, and I'd like to think Marcus would take criticism on board and use it to improve. Unfortunately, it appears the exact opposite is occurring. :/

No he's not

How would you like someone to tell you how to do your job!

What would you say?

'Oh your right ill do it exactly how you want me to'

Not gonna happen

My work has the right to be criticised by anyone, as does anyone else's. you can't tell me how to do my job, but you can tell me what you think I'm doing wrong or doing poorly, and I would take that feedback on board and use it to improve.

Anyone who puts their work into a public domain, especially those in entertainment, must have the right to be criticised, otherwise how would anyone ever improve?

GypsyGoth 10-06-2013 11:15 PM

Maybe Marcus was joking.

Believe me, if I wanted to tell him how to do his job - I'd make it alot more clear than that.

In my years of experience with Patrick on here, I can vouch for that.

Kizzy 11-06-2013 01:19 AM

I would have made it clearer I didn't give a stuff about your opinion, twitter has made it easy for anyone to talk rubbish to anyone they want.. It serves no purpose.

Marsh. 11-06-2013 01:24 AM

Good on him. The moment the people who work on the show start consulting Patrick for advice on how to do the job is the day the show should be shut down for good.

His reply wasn't arrogant, he was stating facts, he'll do as he pleases and not be told by some random person who thinks twitter gives them the right to say whatever they please. He most likely remembered all your previous abusive tweets you sent to him in the past.

Withano 11-06-2013 01:31 AM

Marcus can do what he wants. The show will fail without him and Kizzy should change her signature at night times

Why does this matter? Criticism is healthy but Marcus is just the narrator, despite what some people think, it's not the most vital part of the show.

And chances are he does get this question asked of him on Twitter. He probably is allowed to do what he wants within a certain frame work. For all we know, the producers probably ask him to do what he is doing.

It does matter when he starts screaming over the tasks resulting in me having to turn my tv down. It interrupts the show and takes focus away from the contestants.

A narrator is supposed to narrate not steal the show.

He is an arrogant twat and has blocked atleast 5 people on this forum.

He blocked me last year because I asked why they've decided to overuse him :joker:

He has obviously been given more free reign. Its not a big deal for me anyway. I am more interested in the housemates.

I don't blame Marcus for being a bit rude in his reply, Patrick wasnt rude in that tweet at all but the man must be sick to death of being constantly trolled on twitter.

Me. I Am Salman 11-06-2013 11:56 AM

He should raise it with the producers then. Tell them that fans are not happy with how he's being told to narrate

Sun Tzu. 11-06-2013 12:08 PM

Some fans Salman.

Well maybe he should take the criticism and change then if hes sick of being asked about it.

People aren't fans of him anymore, just look how few twitter followers he has compared to others involved in BB.

Such as? Presenter of several dozen things Emma? 10 million watched (and heavily talked about) live finalist on the most recent series of The X Factor Rylan? They're famous outside of BB. He's got 12,000 more than, uptil recently, the main weekend presenter of the spin-off, Alice Levine, who is also a Radio 1 DJ, and he has over 35,000 more than AJ (the latter is just as valid a comparison as Rylan is, i.e. not at all).

I don't understand what you're getting at? You're just confirming what I just said lol.

He has very few Twitter followers considering hes been there since 2000 and people consider him as a major part of BB.

Fewer followers = fewer fans.

Marcus has 37,000 followers. Even some of the ex Channel 5 housemates have more and that's saying something.

Even Jamie East has 92,000 and all he did was appear on a spin off show that gets under 1 million viewers most nights.

AJ is yet to even appear on screen really and Alice only presented BOTS on the lowest rated days plus shes not really high profile on Radio 1 or established properly yet so its natural they have less.

Seeing as Marcus is featured heavily in every episode and his voice is famous all over the country you would think he would have a lot more followers.

Hes probably blocked most people who dare to even give an opinion to him.
