He wasn't even given a proper chance to catch up in the votes unlike other finals where the phone lines are open for a lot longer between the final 2 than it was last night between Sam and Dexter.

And I honestly don't think that the producers realize how serious people are about switching off after Sam's win, I've seen people be unhappy at winners in previous BB's before but never to this extent, I think the producers will be in for a shock when CBB airs on Thursday night, I'm predicting record lows for CBB's Launch Night.

shut up, there was a whole hour to vote when under the dome was on!!!!!!!!
#
And why would there be record lows when the fans favourite on facebook, twitter and voting won!! just dont make sence..jeeez!!!

GET OVER IT, THE RIGHT MAN WON.

joeysteele 21-08-2013 08:10 AM

We couldn't vote while the Dome was on, the voting lines closed before it started. Once the 2nd part began we were straight into the announcement of who won virtually.

oh well, same for both housemates i suppose so no real big issue to deal with.

Ahahahaha that's a new one.

No

It's for beating Dexter to the number 1 spot.

There's nothing else that I can say because that's the only thing that he did

He obviously did enough to get more voted than Dexter.....that's the long and short of it. More people voted for Sam.

I agree the series will be remembered more for Dexter and Gina and the winner is irrelevant after the final really....its more about who get the best management and who stays in the public eye. I'm sure Dexter will do well.

DrunkerThanMoses 21-08-2013 09:32 AM

If Dexter was the rightful winner, Emma would have said that he won when she announced the winner, but she didn't... you know why? Because the majority of the voters saw what a bitch Gina was and saw what a massive knobhead Dexter was.

Sam won, deal with it.

So you accept he slept his way to the final and won.

Thanks for the confirmation. :D

I do find it funny that people who admire Dexter for "playing the game, because it's a gameshow" just can't admit the obvious truth: Sam played a better, more clever game. He flew under the radar until the last week and then did just enough to be noticed and crowned winner.

Was it as entertaining a game to watch as Dexter or Gina's? No... but... The aim of the game is to win, not to entertain, and he played it perfectly. Both Dex and Gina overplayed their hands early and had run out of steam by the end... They were still doing their best but lets face it, Gina peaked in the safehouse and Dexter peaked in the week before Callum left. they both limped to the finish line after Callum and Hazel were out.

In all seriousness, compare Dexters game to Aaron, who somehow kept his momentum going right until the last day. Dexters gameplan is complex, but amateurish in comparison. Sam on the other hand went for a simple classic... the "craig from big brother 1", after all. Stay simple, stay quite, have a his moment of standing up to the "nasty nick". Done, dusted, £100,000.

God, are people still banging on about Dexter being the rightful winner? What is it that some people see in Dexter? All I see is a comical, sleazy, awkward, embarrassing fantasist who wouldn't last five minutes in the PR world. Honestly... if people think Dexter is really intelligent and a deep thinker, they're going to crap their pants when they mean someone really intelligent.

Sam wasn't the most sparkling housemate ever, but considering the final five, he was by far the best of the bunch.

That's what I sort of liked about him :joker:. Sort of like a clown. I didn't want him to win, though, he was not a deserving winner. He tried to play a game but, ultimately, it was a failed game so why should he win? 2nd place was just about right for Dexter... sums up all of his game plans nicely: "Almost there, but not quite". Couldn't get people to believe or follow him, didn't have the testicular fortitude to take down Callum properly, couldn't quite get the girl in his fauxmance...

... and he introduced the line "I'm not gonna lie..." which was taken up by every bloody housemate and drove me i n s a n e !

I do get what you mean, he was quite entertaining to watch, which I suppose is a throwback to the Victorian's interest in freak shows.

I think that actually sums up this whole year quite well! It was basically one big carnival. The only "normal people" were Sam, Sophie, Hazel, Charlie and Jackie, and (unfortunately) Daley... and none of those were particularly good people. The rest were a selection of oddities picked out to be oggled at like weird little critters in a zoo.

Well they might be oddities to you, but I like to call it having a bit of character and not being generic, bland, looking the same that you see alot of nowadays.

Your right in calling it character but they were hardly admirable traits.

I honestly don't think I could turn my back to any of them (barring maybe Sam) without expecting a knife to be stuck in there at the first opportunity.

Dan has already got the ball rolling with his now ex bf.

There were all in competition with each other in the house so that is the name of the game really. Dan out of all of them is under the biggest pressure to succeed, he gave up a job alot of people would give their eye teeth for to be a celebrity. Will be interesting to see how it all unfolds out of the house. It looks like doing a calender has gone to his head

There are so many interesting people in the world, I just don't understand why they give us a houseful if fantasists and misfits. You can be entertaining and funny and beautiful and intelligent. I know people like that in real life... why can't BB find a houseful of them? I'd also like a cross-section of ages in there. When they put an older housemate in they're usually a pain in the arse, and that's not my experience of older people generally. I think they should put you and I in charge of housemate selection TS. We could only do a better job.

I know it's hilarious. He wouldn't last 5 seconds in this industry.... trust me!

He thinks spending almost 70 days in the BB house is tough... LOL...He'll be eaten up, spat out and trodden on in the time it takes him to say "I'm not gonna lie".

They didn't just become backstabbers and selfish when they got on that show. It takes a certain character for the most part to be on a program like that.

Ah, is that your line? I know a couple of people who work in PR and a friend has her own small agency and they're all just about as different from Dexter as anyone could be. They're smart, driven, astute and they don't labour to find the right word. He's just ridiculous.

Beso 21-08-2013 10:30 AM

pinched from the thread i just made.,...

Lets see.

week one or two..sallie, dexter you ssssssnake...dexter sits and says nothing.

week 3or 4 dexter attempts to pull hazel(smirk)..hazel puts him down with ease, calling him a knob or something...dexter says nothing...

inbetween this sophie calls him a prick or something like that telling him she hated him..dexter says nothing in return...

dexter goes into safe house and promises to do so much when he comes out the safe house after watching the other housemates....he comes out and decides instead to get into the most ridiculous love triangle of all time...and says nothing apart from hazel being nominated more times than she was..

dan pulls him up on it....dexter says nothing.

callum and dexter bounce off eachother and argue...dexter has a go back, perhaps because callum was not liked in the house..or am i too cccccccccccynical!!!!!!

sam pulls dexter up 4 times about differing things...dexter says, you are entitled to your opinion sam, or"whatever sam"

last 2 weeks, dexter spends his evenings in the most tedious of discussions going round and round in circles with charley

DEXTER, champion of the silent seethe, or the see through gameplan..

And this is supposed to be in some peoples eyes one, if not thee best ever bb housemate.

get a flamin grip..he was hopeless and coasted through on the coat tails of gina!!

But Dexter was the winner of the "non-advantage-giving-disability-section" though Sanpvt, wasn't he! :cheer:

Aye!...but only in the short term though Patrick....nobody will remember "who was that guy who won in Ginxster's year" in a couple of series time!...but we'll all remember the King and Queen of BB14 for a long time!...so, apart from the £100,000.... who's the real winners?
