Any news?

Iceman 01-01-2014 06:17 PM

No change but he is stable

Z 01-01-2014 07:39 PM

I'm a bit concerned for him, my granny fell and hit her head, was induced into a coma and never really recovered - this was a woman who survived cancer, heart attack, organ failures and was struggling with Alzheimer's - but a fall is what really killed her, essentially, she was never the same after that and quickly declined... obviously there's a difference between an 80-odd year old woman and a 44 year old healthy man who hit his head while wearing a helmet, but it just worries me that he's not going to recover :(

Iceman 02-01-2014 07:20 PM

Still no change

Z 02-01-2014 07:26 PM

Fingers crossed for an improvement soon

Iceman 02-01-2014 07:38 PM

The docs did say the 48 hours after his latest operation were important....can only hope.

Fingers crossed, I feel really bad for his son, being with him when it happened :(

Z 03-01-2014 01:53 PM

Happy birthday Michael... hope he pulls through :(

Iceman 04-01-2014 12:15 PM

Apperently his life is no longer at risk.

:)

Critical but stable, the news is starting to become more positive now

Alf 04-01-2014 12:32 PM

I remember Rik Mayall had a similar type of accident but on a quad bike.

Here he is talking about it.

Kizzy 04-01-2014 12:35 PM

He may still have a brain injury but he's alive.

AnnieK 04-01-2014 12:45 PM

Positive news coming out now....his fitness has helped him a lot apparently. Sure he will have a long road to recovery but fingers crossed...

Kazanne 04-01-2014 12:47 PM

I think he will be ok now, just a long road to recovery, not sure he will ever recover fully though, the fact he got immediate medical treatment surely helped.

Z 04-01-2014 02:04 PM

Some good news at least... hope he doesn't have any permanent injuries or problems!

Iceman 04-01-2014 03:11 PM

His family have said there is no change still critical but stable and not to believe reports

Iceman 06-01-2014 01:19 PM

Hospital says critical but stable....

Ammi 06-01-2014 01:21 PM

aw :( Are they going to be waking him or do they have to hope he comes out of the coma?

Ammi 06-01-2014 01:33 PM

..it's such a stressful time for his family as well and just the logistics of being at the hospital each day...
