Jeremy hitting someone is just an alleged story, the BBC have said nothing apart from it was a fracas with a producer. Maybe he did hit someone, maybe he didn't. Even if he did we don't know why, how it happened, if he had his buttons pushed, and people can use the "you can't excuse hitting someone" argument, although everyone has a tipping point. For all we know Jeremy simply pushed someone in a light manner. The fact this apparently happened last week and wasn't reported till yesterday seems to imply it really wasn't that serious. If it was as bad as the media is making out Clarkson would have been arrested by the police last week.

Everything in the press is speculation and mostly likely over inflated so they can get people reading their sites and buying the papers. I wouldn't bother concluding opinions when there is literally nothing out there that tells us the exact thing that happened.

I was just generalizing. I was pointing more towards comments on social media and news sites, where people seem to be coming out with all sorts of horrible words and extreme views making him out as the worst human to exist.

The opinions in this thread have been fair on both sides.

from DM.

it gets more and more minor as details emerge

What a complete arse hole, smacking someone in the face because they don't have hot food for you?

I would more than imagine it was in jest but landed harder than intended and then a scuffle ensued

bit of boys banter, nothing to see here

But Crossing a Line
Final Rule Break
is still on the table

ITV1HD will have to have a new name
as BBC are greedy

You just guess that though with no actual knowledge of the full story. If it was in jest I'm sure he wouldn't be suspended right now

Agree with LT, it simply sounds like a good night on the beers followed up by a bit of harmless male roughhousing
