Conor the rapist :bored:

Also on the lines of women saying things and getting entirely away with them - Katie Hopkins making fun of Perez's penis? I mean emasculating him in the process to begin with but also being so uneducated that she has to resort to insults stuck in the gender binary, is disgusting.

Also if Grace was a guy and had chucked water all over Susie? Things would've been a lot different. Sexism is a brutal thing folks, and it works both ways.

Agreed again.

It reminds me of Spitgate when Bex got in Mohamed's face, but when he stood his ground he was accused of "squaring up to a girl". None of the Whisper Club cretins even acnowledged that she got in his face to begin with.

Daniel. 09-05-2015 07:27 PM

welp

This.

It's like how women get away with flirting with younger males. See Edwina Currie, in IAC.

Yet, Chris in BB15 is branded all sorts just for being friends with a female housemate who is 18 years of age.
And I'm not even a fan of Chris.

reece(: 09-05-2015 07:30 PM

Cami was a cartoon caricature with parodied Bad Girls Club styled expressions, let's not make out she was the threatening big bad wolf, because if she was BB would have stepped in - like they did with Conor.

Raph 09-05-2015 07:31 PM

And end of the day, insinuating that Cami's actions aren't as signficant as those of Conor's is also just promoting benevolent sexism - viewing women as sweet innocent people who cannot by any means be a threat to men.

I'm sorry.

Honestly, I don't remember much about what Cami was like, but benevolent sexism and sexism for both genders due to society's structures is a real thing and very relevant in the context of social experiments such as Big Brother

I'll stop here if it's going to resort to personal insults, toodlepip.

Yeah personal insults aren't necessary, I honestly always find discourses about gender and sexism so incredibly important and interesting

Yes.
Exactly.

A woman does it, and it's seen as harmless cougar flirting.

If a man dares to do it, it's seen as dare I say it, creepy pedophilia, or something along the lines of that.

It wasn't an insult.
I'm sorry if your offended.

But using this silly cartoon thingy to back up your support for someone.

What else did you expect me to think?

But again, that's an example of benevolent sexism because it's insinuating that women are too 'weak' (albeit not so overtly) to be able to be threatening to a male. Very frustrating as benevolent sexism is one of the hardest forms of sexism to tackle as it's articulated in the form of praise, hence making it that much more important to discuss.

Loads of housemates have been cartoon's though...not to be taken seriously...Makosi, Nikki, Charley, Caroline BB13, Gina, Danielle etc

Lostie! 09-05-2015 07:37 PM

But if Cami really did assault one of her exes, surely she's more than just a cartoon caricature not to be taken seriously?

What is this cartoon?

Those you've listed above are real humans.

Is this another TIBB txt spk that I don't understand?

Daniel. 09-05-2015 07:38 PM

In the house though, I don't care how they are outside the house, and anyway I don't even like Cami Li that much at all, just she was no where near as bad as Helen.

Jason. 09-05-2015 07:40 PM

What are these cartoons?

Can someone explain.
I'm so confused.

Jason. 09-05-2015 07:40 PM

I'm taking a shower, I'll be back in ten.

I need to urinate, too.
Not in the shower, though.

Daniel. 09-05-2015 07:42 PM

Welp :umm2:
