Her mindset is a reaction to what this show has been about for years. Every season starts off with a group of guys banding together and coming up with some idiotic alliance name and hand signal, and then the girl who hates other girls joins along and gets cut first without the slightest clue. This doesn't even cover the sexism that comes from production, including the fact that the producer pets are almost always predictably male, that Battle of the Block (a twist that succeeded in getting five women booted in the first six weeks) is making its return, that production gladly had a segment of an episode dedicated to Christine's own family slut-shaming her, etc.

Good for Audrey for wanting a woman to win because it surely is time for a change. And it's pretty sad that the show is at a current state where a woman succeeding would be something new.

Why watch it if it's so "torturous"? I'm pretty sure that you just love to complain.

Great premier though, liked everyone apart from Clay as i'm sure there were plenty of auditionees who deserved to be in that house more than him.

I like the first alliance, but I want to see them make it about gameplay and not about "yay we are the same sex".

I'm not the biggest fan of BOTB, but I also don't mind that it's there.

This twist every week is definitely a worry, hopefully it's not something they use to dictate how the season ends up, I just hope they let the season play out.

It's definitely strange that 8 people went on in the first night when there is a cast of 14. That's more than half. It definitely looks like there will be 2 more cast members that haven't been revealed. I can imagine how crazy twitter will be if one of them is Frankie lol.

In terms of relate-able people for me, it would probably be Jace, however he doesn't seem like much of a game player.

brisbanebroncos 25-06-2015 06:31 AM

damn, I say definitely a lot.

we'll see how long I last! Last time we had a season last this long we were left with episodes devoted to the Jordeff proposal and a rewind week (can you imagine living through that situation? I'd be furious if I wasted a full week in that hellhole of a house.) This show just doesn't have enough substance to last that long. 70-something days was perfect.

Is that even true about Zach? Pretty much everyone claims to be a superfan who has seen every episode and every season. And Kevin was an idiot with a bloated edit  Cody could also be summarized as a recruit who was cast on looks tbh

Raph 25-06-2015 06:52 AM

Cody was a recruit cast on good looks, what's your point? lol

Macie Lightfoot 25-06-2015 07:00 AM

My point is that I don't see why Clay should be received differently since he and Cody fill up the same slot and this forum has some weird love for Cody that I still don't understand whatsoever.

DrunkerThanMoses 25-06-2015 07:11 AM

Oh dear where to start?

Battle of the Block a fan favourite? Julie, really?

Hope to god the cast tonight are better then the ones tonight, I ended up dislike them all bar James and his "I am a Asian southern guy" was getting old as well.

The others, well Austin needs to stop with this Judas crap for one. The women, oh Jesus. Bored of the Aubery show all ready, Shelli will sell that girls alliance out to Clay in a heart beat and Dovane was the most moronic of the lot: "everyone loves Aubery" well Davone there is your first clue who is the biggest threat in the game. "I will sit out if no one nominates me"... well Davone you forgot someone else from the other group will just nominate you. If anything Clay and Meg were the most bareable because they hardly spoke.

The next bunch look a lot more interesting so hopefully they can save it. And ffs the twin twist again? Really? Hope Liz and her twin are the first ones voted out so it fails like the saboteur twist

You are complaining about sexism that isn't there. There is usually also the anti-jock / anti-male players (or physical threats) so it's not like "the girl who hates other girls" should be a detriment that apparently ruins seasons for helping guys in the game. Also guy alliances still tend to go after strong physical threats outside of their alliance so that includes a lot of males. I don't understand the reason to care as a fan whether a guy or girl wins BB. Let alone as someone actually playing the game in the house.

So far after the first episode Da'Vonne basically got the production pet edit. Why? Because she was entertaining. Those who show a big personality and/or have a good understanding of the game become the production pet for them. Those who have a lot to offer in the DR. I don't agree with all their choices but that is the reasoning behind it.

Da'Vonne & Shelli were fine, and if it's an all girl alliance that works it'd be something new, but Audrey really seemed like she had an agenda and came across as sexist.

Regardless I think she'll be playing too strong because of it. She'll at least hopefully bring a whole lot of drama to the season if she acts the way I expect.

I could see it tbh :joker:

If that does happen and results in Audrey going early I'm happy. Although there will probably be a returning houseguest.

But not here for Da'Vonne having an early exit. :inamood:

DrunkerThanMoses 25-06-2015 03:40 PM

I found DaVone to be idiotic tbh. She founds out Battle of the Block is back and then told one person has to sit out of HOH and she agrees if no one nominates her. Its stupid because the second HOH out of the second lot could just nomiante her. She risked safety for who knows what. Would laugh if it was auto nomination

JerseyWins 25-06-2015 03:44 PM

True, unnecessary risk there.

DrunkerThanMoses 25-06-2015 03:47 PM

I want to know what it is she got. I personally think her and the person who sits out tonight will be auto nominated or both battle for immunity/money or something. Big risk to take, she should have let Austin sit out, if I was her I would be worried that Aubrey and Shelli might think I was being selfish and not looking out for them.

Headie 25-06-2015 04:07 PM

Surprise surprise, DTM hates Da'Vonne. Shocker.

I'm hoping the "crumbling alliances" means Vanessa made alliances and then Day recognised her and they were forced to align
