Do you not agree though that what goes around comes around:laugh:

It doesn't bother me that much, they are just words,I am just surprised at how nasty they ALL are to each other and others,I've been a tit in the past so cant really call other people for things I don't know a lot about,i don't hate marc because of one tweet he supposedly send two years ago. The twitter spats are more interesting than the show at the moment, lol

i think the thread has come to the conclusion that there was no ill intent toward the person .. he wasn't being nasty..the worse you can fault him for is having a potty mouth

Both Danny and Marq are aggressive but in different ways.

Either you took the second part as a dig at you or I am misunderstanding your response D:

I have to agree. They're both really inappropriate in their tweets but there's a difference between Marc being vulgar toward his friend and Danny going out of his way to harass women and desire violence toward them, in addition to Danny's use of the word 'fag' and making a joke of the homosexual community. Neither examples are defendable but Marc's vulgarity was clearly intended to be viewed as playful by his friend.

There are so many things incorrect with this. Lol.

It was not a tweet to a friend, you can't prove that. But judging by the profile picture alone, it's very safe to presume Marc is not buddies with somebody at least 10 years younger than him, probably closer to 15.
I don't particularly think gender makes a difference, but I won't argue with that point.
It was definitely meant to be nasty. The word banter would not stand up in a court of law and it definitely does not bode well with me.
Twitter is a public domain. I don't have to follow him to see the tweet and make a judgement about how nasty it is, similarly I don't have to follow Obama to appreciate the greatness behind his lgbtqia tweet. That's not how Twitter works.

i really dislike danny..and i'm gay..but if his "fag" comment was to a friend i really have problem with it either

Can we please have a bit of perspective here?

I don't like Danny or Marc.

All Marc tweeted was that he wanted to commit a violent act of violation involving a domestic appliance. Afterwards, he probably would have used the Hoover to clean up the mess, because he's a nice guy most of the time.

Also, how many people did he send the tweet to? That's right, just one! All he was doing was threatening to rape one person, not an entire country! I mean, what's one rape between friends? (And they would be friends afterwards, because no means yes and the victim, I mean, lucky recipient, would have been grateful afterwards.)

And if by some chance the lucky recipient didn't like it, they'd have been lying. And fake.

Now, all together in the style of Simon saying "showbiz!", can I get a "BANTER!"?

Denver 01-07-2015 05:55 PM

It seems fake to me

It isn't, now that you know this. What is your opinion on the tweet, only asking you specifically because of the picture of the guy on your tibb profile?

It is perfectly okay to like Marc, but to talk about it here is just a bit gross (same goes to anybody defending Danny on the Danny tweet thread)

Hear, hear. Both sad gits. It is why i will never join. Too many abusive twats on Twitter. Not all.

Where? (I've not read the whole thread)

Vicky. 01-07-2015 06:00 PM

Erm yeah. The first one isn't as bad as others that have now been hunted

https://twitter.com/marqoneill/statu...56707667398656

Having said that, this one definitely appears to be in response to a troll (even moreso given the account is suspended...). Still doesn't excuse the language though

Why the **** do people use twitter? everytime I hear of it its for stuff like this. I had one like 6 years ago coz my mates got sick of seeing facebook updates about BB. I haven't logged in for about 4 years and every one of my tweets is rather mundane, not this rubbish D:

i have no first hand knowledge but someone said it was a person who was on the same show him...why does age matter..eileen would disagree..i'm 51 and my best friend is 28..."see u" sounds like a friendly greeting...and you sure haven't provide proof they aren't friends

guess nasty depends what you mean...nasty language..nasty intent..if it was a friend there doesn't seem to be any anger or ill intent with it and i already know the man has a potty mouth

as you seeing it..i've seen many nasty horrible things said about marc and others here..i wouldn't be surprised if you said a few yourself..and with feeling of ill will nasty intent behind them... as far as i'm concerned that is no different to twitter as its just as public and comments made here come up in a google search

Yeah there's absolutely no defending that and the tweet Vicky just linked there. c'mon guys he may be entertaining but seriously there's no denying he's a dickhead.

Just banter:joker:

Northern Monkey 01-07-2015 06:07 PM

Looking at it objectively.
Yes it seems like a vile and nasty tweet.
However,If that was sent as a threat to someone i think Marc could get into serious trouble with the law for that and i don't personally think he would be stupid enough to literally threaten rape on Twitter.
I'd say on balance the likely hood it was sent to a friend who knows his sense of humour and they possibly speak like that to each other regularly is the more probable scenario here.
However,If it turns out to be proven to be a genuine threat then it is seriously ****ed up.

Oh, yeh I saw the same post saying he was also on tallafornia, he was incorrect though, the Twitter page does not belong to a guy from tallafornia.

I'm only saying age matters because the person on the page barely looks like he's escaped adolescence. It is safe to presume they are not buddies based on their age. Adults being friends with younger adults isn't weird, I agree.

But yes, if he said it to a friend I would concede and agree that it did not have a nasty intent but until this is proven, I refuse to believe that this was "banter" in any shape or form.. And so should you.
