And that's the figure for the show after launch, usually they drop even lower as the next few episodes air. Even some BB14 highlights were getting higher numbers than that.

lewis111 29-08-2015 10:55 AM

Ahh that is awful, for a 2nd launch/twist live show and for a CBB episode in general

jackc1806 29-08-2015 10:55 AM

Summer BB/CBB is dead tbh

January CBB would benefit from being only once a year, with a PROMOTED BB in summer

RichardG 29-08-2015 11:09 AM

Honestly they're never going to make logical decisions with this show, they won't listen and they'll run it even further into the ground next year.

Pete. 29-08-2015 11:14 AM

I blame that cannon

mrmattybeck1 29-08-2015 11:24 AM

I blame channel 5

Will. 29-08-2015 11:31 AM

1.4 without +1, so about 1.5-6 depending on how big the +1 was.

It's only probs a 150k down on CBB14 second show show which got 1.75M (11.5%).

So:

CBB second show show:

CBB14: 1.75
CBB16: around 1.5

Will. 29-08-2015 11:40 AM

Just looking at the CBB12 ratings and there very strange, like some got 1.4 and then others got 2.2M, a very wide broad of ratings for a series.

For example the Friday live twist show got 2.15 but ONLY A 11.1% share.

And then a Wednesday eviction only got 1.33M (second part) but 13.3%.

The first Sunday highlight show got 1.67M (8.1%).

So they were all other the place, no consistent rating.

CBB14 ratings on the other hand were consistent between 1.6-9 overnight.

The first Friday got 1.99 - (10.8%)
and then next Friday got 2.0M (9.6%).

Not surprising really. The line up didn't impress. Urgh and it's Saturday today - has CBB gone below 1m before?
Amazing retention rate for BOTS though -740k, pretty much identical to it's launch show.

Will. 29-08-2015 11:48 AM

yeah it's not amazing but nothing we've not seen, the +1 could be like 250k and put it on par with CBB14.

IMO I think this line up is one that will make people continue to watch but maybe not.

I've actually enjoyed BOTS this season so far.

I bet The X Factor will flop

I hope so, I can't stand it. But it's got a long way to fall before it can be considered a flop sadly.

mrmattybeck1 29-08-2015 12:27 PM

This is the cbb ratings thread x factor gets triple the cbb ratings

Rob! 29-08-2015 12:41 PM

+1 took BB up to 1.5m last night - live feed got 439k

daniel-lewis-1985 29-08-2015 12:41 PM

OMG that's terrible :( I knew it would drop but not by that much.

I put it down to the drawn out and cheap twist of night one......Seriously plastic footballs shot out of a glued together mdf cannon covered in childrens glitter it was hardly what we were promised and last nights twist was not "AWESOME" as Emma said it would be unless people find people holding as many items as they can riveting Idk?

Sadly tonight may be the first time CBB as fallen below a million and it annoys me so much that people don't tune in on Saturday it doesn't make sense plus most of the arguments annoyingly happen to fall on a Saturday highlight show like tonight we will se Austin and Janice going at it.

I really hope the cast can pull in viewers before its to late because BB has a very small time to claw back lost viewers seeing as they feel they have missed nost of it once a week or 2 have past so no point tuning in now.

BOTS did well though its nuts it gets the same or more than The Xtra Factor which comes off the back of like 9 million people and live feed did well in its time slot but shame they didn't promote the extra 1 hour 5 minutes it continued over on 5*.

Rob! 29-08-2015 12:43 PM

Sticking it on at 10:30pm might save it actually - the prime time is a messy time for ratings on a Saturday, the late time may raise it up from what it would be. Time will tell I guess.

Matt 29-08-2015 12:43 PM

Ratings for the launch show on TV3 in Ireland:

Average: 150,500 viewers inc +1 (Timebomb had 103,400 on 3e)
Peak: 172,000 viewers
Reach: 448,100 viewers

I agree totally with the twists, they could have some real fun with them as it's UK vs USA instead of this tacky ones.

Will. 29-08-2015 12:52 PM

It got 1.56 with +1, 190k down on last year.

4th in it's slot at 9-10pm, beat ITV by 300k.

everything was low last night, nothing reached over 3M.

daniel-lewis-1985 29-08-2015 01:01 PM

Can we please not post the viewing figures until we get the +1.

1.56 aint that bad its not great but its passable as ok.

Its depressing logging in to see such low figures so please just when plus 1's are released as we allways used to anyway.

I don't know why we cant add the Irish figure to the rating also seeing as they are actually over 100k watching and just being ignored because what they're Irish? lol

Jason. 29-08-2015 02:00 PM

Yeah, I'm not really a massive fan of these twists either. They're just dissapointing and meaningless games which are easy and are nowhere near as good as Emma makes them out to be.

Like, by the sounds of things I was expecting a war with Janice and Bobby that you "wouldn't want to miss" as promised, when in reality, they answered a few easy questions, got electric shocks, downed a nasty shot, and glued as many items to themselves as possible :umm2:

But then again, CBB launch night twists have always been pointless and just something for fun, whereas in BB they matter more.

I don't watch it anymore, but the ratings are still good for it. It rates like around 9/10m. TBF, I consider it a flop considering it used rate around 13/15m like 5/6 years ago.

Mitchell 29-08-2015 02:09 PM

They're gonna need to replace Tila with a ratings puller...

Jason. 29-08-2015 02:12 PM

1.56m is quite bad, considering some highlights during BB14 rated higher as somebody else already mentioned. But it could be worse. TBF, I think this series will rate similar to how BB14 rated, and will probably average around 1.9m officially.
