There are definitely undertones of racism from viewers on this show but that's a whole different debate that has been done to death on this forum so let's not go there.

I don't know a lot about Jim Davidson's career, so am unaware if he has made insulting remarks about gay people off-stage in his real life. Feel free to provide me with proof that doesn't involve jokes he's told on a comedy stage which don't count, and I'll be happy to concede defeat

to be honest most if not all adults in the 70s were homophobic racists by todays standard

Winston did nothing wrong. He was a black unattractive man, which was enough for the shallow narcissist hags to set about him.

If he was a young white model then his bedroom leering would have all been good fun and his views on gays would not have even been mentioned.

Why do people who don't agree with OP ask for threads to be closed :conf:? No one makes anyone post on threads or read them I wouldn't dream of asking for a thread to be closed,i would just not bother looking at it ,and admit it ,you LOVE on season ,its not boring is it :joker:
