..I guess that we could assume that she is trying to create an income and something to build on for her 8 children as this was all two years ago...a 'regular' job of anything she may be skilled at or able to do or be offered as a job, may not have done that...so all of the TV programmes etc that she appears on/any income from newspapers etc she is able to make for her family, it's what she's chosen to do and may have got her off the benefit system ..(and she could still be pursuing her college course in the meantime..)...

Nice wood flooring and leather sofa in the picture and the kids look well fed too.
Not many on benefits can afford nice wood flooring and i'm guessing here but i'm sure there will be a nice big lcd tv in that room and the kids will fend off starvation by playng on the latest sony playstation games console or if that fails they will move over to their ipads until mum phones pizza hut to deliver their dinner.:nono:

...sensible, practical flooring and sofa, Johnny.....all those things are reasonable prices because they are so widely available in the modern day as it were...and with 8 children all under 12yrs old at the time, they seem to me to be perfect choices...and yeah, it's lovely to see the children all looking so smart and healthy..the craziness of that is/the craziness of the system, is if they weren't that/well fed as you say..?..then even on benefits and so very obviously a struggle, they would attract the attention of welfare in terms of possible 'neglect' for being anything other, so well done mum really...in fact, that's what would be said at our school of those children, just looking at them in the pic...that mum was definitely doing many things right and trying her very best...

I agree with all you say above.

The only thing I'd question is as to her having so many children anyway but that is done now.

Also it amuses me when people attack such individuals for having decent furnishings and even luxuries.
When it isn't even known did they buy them 2nd hand, or even did they get them given.
Also some housing and local authorities let you get furnishings and electrical items just about interest free for small payments weekly

3 times I have changed my TV in the last 5 years and each time I have,I have given, yes given the old one to someone I knew in difficulty or on benefits.

Instant 'negative' judgements when facts are not even looked for let alone even known are very dangerous things to do in my view.

"Wood flooring" :joker: Oh Johnny. That's cheap arse laminate that costs less than most carpets per metre squared and won't get stained / ripped and need replacing. It's literally the cheapest sort of flooring you can get. Sofa also looks like the sort of cheaply made, faux leather generic thing you could pick up for £80 second hand. Genuinely amused by this stretch, making out that the home looks luxurious when it in fact looks like bog standard dirt cheap prefab rental decor...

It doesn't really matter how old the story is, It gets the point across that this is just not acceptable anymore and the benefit cap is a real thing, if you are fit and healthy this isn't a lifestyle choice you can make any more. I would also like to see the Dad put on TV to explain why he walked away from his kids, it's not completely the woman's problem that she has 8 children to bring up.

Interesting that these right wing papers are making a big deal about this at such an apt time for the government. Even the Metro jumped on the band wagon a few times but the comments left by its readers told a very different story than the comments left in the Daily Mail. A lot of Metro readers were more outraged that their favoured paper was trying to stir up a hate campaign, which is exactly what this is because when the government want to make benefit cuts which will have detrimental effect on many poor families across Britain, they have to make sure the masses are on their side.

Whilst I don't think this woman should of had 8 kids whilst on benefits, I don't care about the story other than it being just another yawn worthy bit of right wing propaganda. I'm annoyed that she was stupid enough to be interviewed because she's helping to trend public opinion, but I'd rather pay my taxes towards a mother and her children than subsidise those champaign charlies in Westminster.

I'd rather pay mine towards social care

Yes but it makes decent people so mad they have to start passing comment on her genitalia.

Sure, but that says a lot more about them than it does about her!

It's cheaper than carpet.

Not to mention, if she lives in council accommodation, then things like that will be done for her.

Not true, the council do not provide or fit flooring.

Yes they do. If you're moving into a council house, they will ensure the place is in a liveable condition before you move in.

The woman up the road had a new kitchen installed by the council and the roof re-done before she moved in with her two kids.

Yes it will have a floor, but not flooring.
The kitchen will have composite tiles on the floor, they are not linoleum as they are not replaceable.

:facepalm:More skewed, 'chip-on-the-shoulder', anti-Government baloney. If you actually look at the photo below, you will see that:

a) There are ALL her 8 children in the shot which PROVES that the photo is CURRENT because her youngest child is only 2 month's old.

b) She is PROUDLY displaying her unpaid MOTORING FINES from TWO YEARS AGO and even fanning them out so that ALL can clearly be seen.

THIS IRREFUTABLY PROVES, THAT FAR FROM THIS BEING SOME B.S. MYTHICAL "RIGHT WING MEDIA/GOVERNMENT HATE CAMPAIGN" - IT IS THIS IRRESPONSIBLE BENEFIT SCROUNGER HERSELF WHO IS FREELY ADVERTISING HER DETAILS IN A CYNICAL BIT OF 'SELF-PROMOTION'.

True. The cheap laminate flooring laid throughout her house just magically appeared.

I personally find it quite difficult to feel sorry for the woman here moaning that £500 a week for free isn't enough when she and her other half have been given so many chances and free let offs and you hear of people with serious health issues struggling to afford to support themselves on a pittance the government awards them with.

Child related benefits are a different kettle of fish to benefits like ESA. To compare them is silly.

I do agree that the ESA system needs to be looked at, unhealthy people are dying because of a cruel system but a woman popping out too many kids isn't going to affect the people claiming for being unable to work.

When she appeared on Channel 5's Benefits Britain: Life on the Dole, she admitted last Christmas to buying her seven girls and one boy dozens of presents each and racking up over £1,000 in debt.

Despite this, she also bought herself a new puppy because she was feeling "broody".

I wonder how many of these families are left for the mail to hunt down for 'sensational' headlines :D

No it didn't magically appear someone fitted it, what I'm saying to you is that it was not the council.

I doubt they had to hunt her down.It seems she is trying to aquire some fame from her scumbaggery. She more than likely hunted them down.

Crimson Dynamo 12-03-2016 05:19 PM

im betting that she is not the full shilling

Councild do not fit flooring or carpets for tenants. Infact, I had a council house and had brand new carpets and stuff down when I decided to move to Greece when I was 18. Council instead of leaving the new carpets and laminate flooring I had done upstairs, ripped the lot out for the next tenant to replace. Reasons...god knows?
