idk but I really hope so..

This actually doesn't sound as bad as others seem to be saying. If they had like 8 celebs and 12 regulars I'd be happy.

Yeah if there's a CBB after then it's a bit silly imo.

I'm not really not sure about this but I'll reserve my judgement until it actually happens (if it's true)

zakman440 23-04-2016 01:20 PM

If it is happening then CBB is still to follow. Endemol are contracted by Channel 5 to make two CBBs a year, which is why this twist is ridiculous!

Greg! 23-04-2016 01:24 PM

Welp the people saying #ripbbuk on Twitter when it's not even been aired or confirmed

I thought people said the contract could be changed? I think it was you

But yeah tbqh I just hope this isn't true. I just want them to cast some good non-celebrities and let them get on with it without celeb/legend interference.

supertv247 23-04-2016 01:29 PM

I have nothing against them trying it, my only concern is that it doesn't give the regular people a chance, cause they don't have fans. What voting system will be used? VTS or VTE? Because VTS will give regulars no chance..

Greg! 23-04-2016 01:33 PM

I just want c5 to confirm or deny it, I hate not knowing things :worry:

RichardG 23-04-2016 01:35 PM

It's a weird one because as much as we want it to go "back to basics"/we just want normal people in a house with normal nominations and a few twists here and there, I don't think it would work? I don't think anything will save the civ edition (if we're judging it's success on ratings anyway) it's kinda dead now so after thinking about it a little I don't really care that they might be doing this twist, it's not like the celebrities will be anyone significant anyway if we're getting drug mules and terrorist selfie guy. It might not be on tv much longer so I'll just go along with it. :spin2:

Babayaro. 23-04-2016 01:47 PM

Still think this is a terrible idea

I thought you said the contract could be changed in the other thread, this idea still sounds a tad confusing and idk how it would work but it'll be tragic and stupid if there's an CBB series after

Wasn't it said they are refusing to confirm or deny it? Sounds to me like it's happening

Greg! 23-04-2016 06:05 PM

They say no comment to almost everything whether it's true or not

Yeah, I'd imagine they're happy with any publicity they can get so even if it's not true they probably wouldn't want to deny it and stop the attention the show's getting, so their 'no comment' doesn't mean anything either way in my opinion.

supertv247 23-04-2016 10:27 PM

This isn't just coming from the rumours, then the 'no comment' when asked. Sources from the show have actually leaked it to others, including the press sites, it looks pretty much guaranteed.

I REALLY wish sites would stop saying "celebrity big brother is about to get a bunch of normal housemates" :fist:

Beso 01-05-2016 04:19 PM

depends who they get tbh.

i like the gogglebox idea, but the geordie shore, towie etc can do one.

Cal. 01-05-2016 04:20 PM

Maybe it's just BB15's 'cusp of fame' cast again.
