When I first read that, I was positively shocked that he wasn't given a "I am a cop who is gay, a gay cop who is gay and a cop" storyline and wasn't hyped up by Probst pre-season as if they've never cast non-stereotypical gay guys before

I actually think Survivor is not bad when it comes to stereotyping the gay guy character tbh. Half the time I don't even know who the token gay guy is for a while and there are a few seasons where even to this day I don't know who the gay guy was :joker: (if there's one on every season that is; maybe there just wasn't actually one on those seasons).

I finished the ep like 10 mins ago and I only remember Mari, David and Ken (because he was hot) :/

It was really bland but I hope it's just the cyclone messing with the editing

Well the Gen X tribe got a bit more interesting with the possibility of people turning on Paul.

Ken is way better than I was expecting. For some reason (maybe just that they look kinda alike) he gave me a bit of a Nick (Kaoh Rong) vibe at first but then he wasn't bad on the premiere and he's been great this episode.

Also a muuuch better episode this time. This season actually looks pretty promising to me now after a very bland premiere.

k that episode was much better even though I still don't care much about anyone lol. Ken and David and Hannah are probably my faves, and Michaela is okay too I guess. Michelle's voice bothers me and I think I might've preferred Figgy going, but trust me I'm not complaining at all with a Mari boot lol. Listening to a 31 year old talk about video games and call herself a millennial is not exactly my idea of compelling viewing. People who swallow the season's theme suck.

And the fact that Figgy was somehow saved over Mari (someone completely irrelevant) is amazing. I would've thought Michaela would've been more of a target just for running her mouth constantly. Brilliant result :clap1:

HORRIBLE result imo - I really don't want to see a "popular clique" run the show.

I feel like we see the "popular clique" or double showmance, etc. type of alliances just fall apart early in Survivor a lot. So not only that I actually like these 4 people but the fact they were outnumbered 6-4 and found a way out of it is what made me really like the result even more personally.

Realistically they could not even run the show anyway. They could still be outnumbered 5-4 at the next tribal council (albeit unlikely) or something will most likely happen later if/when they shake up the tribes.

Fantastic move! Michelle flippinh the vote and saving her alliance was dope. They need to add this season of Survivor to our favorite page so I can make Michelle my favorite!

Yeah I'm not feeling this season at all tbh. I think a tribe swap is definitely needed cause I feel indifferent towards both tribes right now.

Yes. :clap1: It was pretty commendable and if it was switched (underdogs overcoming the numbers) then their move would only be praised.

When has that ever happened though? It was literally one result, there's a high chance that next week one of them will be out if they lose because of how quickly the vote flips.

I quite enjoyed that episode.

I would have preferred Figgy going, but I'm not too bothered with Mari leaving either. I like how it was unpredictable because I was pretty sure Figgy would be voted off. Figgy and Taylor are too complacent for my liking though, and something about Hannah irritates me.

Right now I think Ken is my favourite. David annoys me, but I'm fond of his alliance with Cece and Ken. I hope they don't get screwed as a result of the tribe twist.
