I don't mind either way about the post count, although I do like that in C&G I can just post about random crap (I mean literally, this morning :worry:)... whereas in other sections I don't, and maybe if posts were counted in C&G there'd be more restrictions on meaningless posts, which I wouldn't like, and they're sometimes the most fun

Or just move forum games to another section that does count? idk it's really of no concern to me though
Because I know fine well that forum games have a tendency to have main threads that're also used as chat threads 70% of the time rather than actual tasks/competitions. And I also know I've been guilty of setting lazy "post count" tasks which really would be considered spam/unnecessary by the forum rules.

I think a separate section for forum games would be a brilliant idea. If someone joined the forum now and saw the section, and maybe started reading through some of the games, it's the kind of thing that grabs interest and makes people want to stay. As it is there's no way for anyone to see anything about any game that isn't currently running or being promoted unless they search specifically for it (but obviously they're not going to know it existed to be able to do that). Some of the most fun I've had on the forum has been when taking part in games so promoting that aspect of the forum could be beneficial.

Your second idea isn't a bad one considering you always get people wandering into the chat threads saying they had no idea they existed so some kind of banner at the top or something making its existence known at least would be good.

I don't think the other sections are that hard to find, if people genuinely cared about the other sections then they'd post in them but I imagine a lot of people who visit during on-season are those that only really care about the site when the show is on, and there's no changing that.

I had no idea for months after I joined about all the non-BB sections, or maybe I'd seen them and just hadn't thought much about clicking into them, I remember thinking "oh well I bet noone's posting outside the BB section anyway since it's a BB forum"... and my first off season I just assumed noone would use the site and I left... I know a lot of people do explore but if you're not really used to using forums which I wasn't then maybe not so much, so again promoting certain sections might be a good idea.

I agree here - game hosts need a little something back

You put so much effort in and you get some people who don't even respect that and insult you whilst they're playing your game... It's bizarre

Agreed. A forum award for hosting is a great idea, the winners get one (usually... hint hint Tom) but the hosts put more effort into them than anyone.
