Yeah I'm still not really clear on exactly how Quill is Charlie's prisoner/slave/guardian whatever she is.
He keeps calling her a terroist but where exactly do the Shadow Kin come into play as to why their rivals on the same side?

Rob! 13-11-2016 12:34 AM

Next week looks interesting though

Rob! 19-11-2016 11:30 AM

That was decent :clap1:

So perched for Quill's episode next week :flutter:

Charlie's claustrophobia to culminate in him being crushed in the boot of a car?

Our Sam to play an oddly emotionless villain in Season 2?

Until that episode I was with you on that. The only reason I've been watching is for Katherine Kelly. But that episode...holy ****. My mouth feel open about seven hundred times and it was so well written and acted. Why the hell couldnt they all have been as good as that??

Pete. 04-12-2016 08:24 AM

Oh yes the Weeping Angels will save this mess :clap1: Cull the unlikeable characters and focus on Quill & Tanya

Class will air January 9th at 10.45pm on BBC One for those interested

MB. 04-06-2017 05:45 PM

Patrick Ness has confirmed that he won't be writing any more episodes, so yeah, it's been axed

Marsh. 04-06-2017 05:47 PM

So that's what the announcement is amounting to or they're giving the show to someone else to sort it out?

A big shame IMO, it wasn't perfect (well it was downright terrible in places) but had so much potential. Katherine Kelly in particular was wasted.

Marsh. 04-06-2017 05:49 PM

Oh I just saw on twitter, yeah it's been axed. :(

Scarlett. 04-06-2017 05:49 PM

The main problem with the show, is they seemed to over explain things way too often, like, everything had to be stated out loud. The general dialogue in the show at times felt way too forced.

Marsh. 04-06-2017 05:50 PM

Oh wait

Now I'm confused.
Maybe BBC America want to give the show another chance so want a fresh creative team behind it?

Yeah, when your plots need THAT much exposition it's time to go back to the drawing board IMO.

MB. 04-06-2017 05:52 PM

BBC America like the show, but it rated poorly over there as well, so chances of renewal this late (I mean, the show finished six months ago here) are practically non-existent

Yep, it's kinda weird, when Doctor Who, the more family orientated show does more complex things with a lot less explaining, lol. Such as the episode in the classroom, most people likely figured things out long before the characters started with the exposition, lol.

Jamesy 04-06-2017 06:39 PM

Most of the problems with the show could stem from Ness, so maybe someone else's take on the show would be a good thing? Idk

It's a shame it looks like it won't return. It wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either. It could have done with a second series so the show could find its feet. I really liked the style of it. The show just needed to be stripped back a little and not cram in so much.
