You pretty much defined women by their ability to give birth, I'm just highlighting the fact that it's a flawed outlook because, by your criteria in that post, a woman that cannot give birth can't be considered a woman. I'm just giving you the opportunity to clarify what you have said.

A woman is a woman and always will be despite if she has had a hysterectomy or not, a man cannot have children and doesn't have whats needed to have them, so they can never be classed as a woman

So you think a woman's status is purely based around whether or not they can have children.

DanielM787 04-01-2018 01:53 PM

I actually think they might get along with one another

A woman is based on her having the equipment to have a baby, a man doesn't have this equipment, thats what make them men

I disagree, it's a shallow way of looking at things especially when you consider that there are conditions that cause women to be born without wombs or uterus' and the like. It doesn't make them or anyone who has lost the use of or those organs all together any less of a woman.

It's a view that, while unintended on your part, can be seen as quite degrading to women.

Tom4784 04-01-2018 02:07 PM

Men and women are more than the sum of their parts.

I would never degrade women Im one myself, or today i may class myself as sausage roll

This post is so upsetting. When you surround yourself in life with open minded, semi intelligent people you forget (or chose to forget) that such closed minded people exist. Especially in this country. I thought we were better than this.

I really can’t believe some of you think it’s ok to speak like you do on such sensitive issues. And the same old lines coming out that I thought we were way beyond.. “oh I can I identify as a goat?”

I’m genuinely devastated at what I have read today and people should be ashamed. I feel like I’ve had a glimpse of what straight people really think and say when we are not there

These comments come from a minority. A minority that exist, yes, and a minority that are very real, but for every single close minded person there's hundred of the open minded semi-intelligent people you're referring to

Well yes, but our sex class is the only thing that makes men and women different. Being of the class that can produce sperm makes you a man, whether you can produce sperm or not. Same for women, though not sperm, incubating babies instead

Courtney identifies as neither male nor female? I guess this is what I would be if we were going on internal gender identity as I honestly do not have one. So I am now non existent D:

I think it's more that she doesn't really subscribe to gender norms more than anything, gender neutral would perhaps be a better term.

Ah good. Never have heard of Courtney. was hoping they weren't one of these gender fluid folks. That makes absolutely zero sense..male one day, female the next...all because of which clothes you have on. Bonkers

The more gender non-conforming people the better. Break down the ridiculous stereotypes associated with male and female people.

Well yes, every damn thing needs a label these days apparently. Its a bit silly.

I’m 34 years old. And I thought the kind of things i’ve read here today were just the things of Facebook trolls and the Britain First brigade. I’m just expressing how it’s made me feel. Which is saddened.

I know not everyone in the world is so broad minded, I just didn’t expect to find such views here. And it’s not the fact of people being ignorant of the issue. It’s the complete closed mindedness and unwilling to learn that is frustrating.

Thank you. I know, I’m not blind to people’s bigotry. It’s just a little shocking and saddening to see it ones own doorstep.. I never thought this place would attract such people

Surely one tries to express themselves on here in much the same way one would in real life..? I certainly don’t have seperate views online and in my private life.

Oh it's a shock to me too. Maybe that's because I steer clear of Serious Debates and Discussions (where I usually see some bigotry), but I never see any bigotry unless it's on-season and there's an LGBT housemate/housemate who isn't white. A majority of the forum are LGBT which is why it becomes shocking to see discrimination against the LGBT community

RileyH 04-01-2018 04:29 PM

Courtney would end her

That is worrying as you most certainly should

I would never dream of being as inclusive and tolerant in real life as I am on here as people would probably think I was going soft

:worry:

But this is NOT a LGBT forum, its a BIG BROTHER forum amongst other things, but nowhere is it a LGBT only site, but I'm sure if you look around (Google is your friend) you will find a site solely for LGBT where the majority will be of the same opinions as you,but while ever this site and this part of the site is about BIG BROTHER and its hm8s ( ALL of them, not who you decide can be discussed) we are ALL allowed our opinions ,whether that pleases you or not, YOUR opions don't please me, but I ignore most of them ,so maybe you should be as tolerant of others

This isn't a chat thread and as far as I'm aware no part of this forum is a LGBT place

I don't need chuff of all people telling me to be tolerant :joker: Like it or not babycakes but a lot of the members here are LGBT!
Did I say that makes TiBB an LGBT Forum? NO I did not. But do keep putting words in my mouth babes!
