Oop who reminds Red Oyster telling Hottie to shut up on Flavor of Love??? I've just witnessed the African version of this when one of the housemates cries over their friend being evicted :joker:

"This is not about you, it's about ME yeah, CHILL OUT"

Headie 08-04-2019 11:04 PM

I took a lil break from this but I've resumed it and on the ep I'm currently on they're doing the Nicola "SHRED SHRED SHRED" task where one house can shred the letters belonging the other house in order to receive theirs <3333

Also there's been more iconic fights from two of my faves this week (they're both up for eviction though and I have an awful feeling they're both gonna go :worry:)

I lowkey feel bad because whenever people are being evicted they're saying "don't worry you're going to the other house!!!" when they've actually been evicted for real lmao <3 A great twist tho!

And now they're bring the twist back again and they're gonna use the actors to do skype calls with the housemates from the real house, pretending they're from the other house (which doesn't exist)

And then the houses are gonna get merged this week as well <3 I love this twist

Headie 09-04-2019 04:01 PM

Fake HM: "There was a guy I saw in a waistcoat, he was fine!"
Annabel: "Oh you mean Bimp!"
Fake HM: "Does he have a girl in the house?"
Annabel: "No, but he has a girlfriend though"
Fake HM: "Ok but is it serious???"

Screaming :joker:

"A woman's place is in the kitchen... I'm talking about Africa specifically"

Headie 09-04-2019 04:58 PM

Ahh Selly saying she's responsible for Azonto sweeping the nation of Africa after doing it so much in the house :joker:

Headie 12-04-2019 09:37 PM

The fake HMs are betters than the real HMs lmao <333

Eviva is a LEGEND!

Headie 12-04-2019 10:49 PM

The host telling the remaining housemates that they need to start setting a good example to the rest of Africa and stop having petty arguments over alcohol :skull:

Does he want the show to get boring with 4 weeks left to go??

Headie 14-04-2019 12:14 AM

Oop not an ejection on Day 63.

Lewis F shook?

This season started off with arguments, then went quiet for a good few weeks and now it's all kicking off again as the numbers dwindle

Headie 15-04-2019 12:30 AM

Whew we love lyrical legend Dillish

Headie 15-04-2019 04:27 PM

Ddd the host doing a Dermot-esque opening performance on finale night.

He really practised hard for it as well lmao

Headie 15-04-2019 05:34 PM

Sulu coming back on finale night to perform his Ruby song he made up in the house :joker: Love it

Headie 15-04-2019 06:37 PM

Imagine never being nominated throughout the whole series and making it to Day 91 only to finish dead last in the final :skull: I'd be so pissed lmao

Headie 18-04-2019 11:39 AM

So I finished Season 8: The Chase a couple days ago and here's my rankings (I'll spoiler my thoughts/opinions on winners/evictions etc in case anyone is planning on watching it at some point - although lets be real I'm the only one bothered enough/sad enough to watch the African version )

Season 8 Rankings:
1. Natasha (actual goddess <3333 a Carole/Charley hybrid <333)
2. Selly
3. Annabel
4. Fatima
5. Feza
6. Pokello
7. Koketso
8. Motamma
9. Elikem
10. Dllish

11. Maria
12. Huddah
13. Sulu (I'm 50/50 on him. One of the more entertaining housemates but was also pretty misogynistic at times)
14. Angelo
15. Cleo
16. Betty
17. Beverly
18. O'Neal
19. Biguesas
20. Neyll

21. Melvin
22. LK4
23. Bassey
24. Bimp
25. Denzel
26. Hakeem
27. Bolt
28. Nando

Overall it was an enjoyable season, but definitely too long in terms of the cast being able to hold it up for 91 days. Season 7 (Star Game) is definitely my favourite if I had to choose between the two. This season started off good, then had a really average mid-section and then started picking up again in the final few weeks. The fake HMs twist was a great twist though making the real housemates believe there was another house and getting them to interact with them etc <3

Specific thoughts:
Spoiler:

-Natasha is one of the best housemates of all time globally, joining Goldie from last series in that accolade <3
-Selly was a scream, when she poured a drink over Pokello at the party for seemingly no reason but claiming it was to "big her up" :joker: Her and Natasha being evicted together in a double eviction has to be one of the worst results ever, although the other options (Annabel & Pokello) wouldn't have been great outcomes either.
-Annabel was a fab housemate too, reminded me a bit of Nicky Maxwell
-Koketso, Motamma and Fatima were definitely evicted too early but all still shone in their stays.
-Dillish is a lovely winner, I'm glad she won. Surviving 5 evictions and also never winning an immunity task for the whole series <3 She really came into her own by the end.
-Pokello & Elikem is one of the best showmances ever (seems they got married & divorced after the show as well )
-Cleo & Hakeem on the other hand was such an annoying showmance, especially Hakeem feeling entitled to being voted into the Rendez-vous room every week.
-The LK4 & Koketso showmance was just meh. Especially since he was trying to hook up with another girl at the same time :joker:
-Nando was a horrible twat, I'm surprised he passed the psych test (do they even do them in the African version :eyes:). Carrying knives in his pockets or putting them under pillows whenever he would have an argument with someone smh. Glad he was ejected but annoying that he took the spot of someone who could've been good.
-Bolt & Betty was an annoying showmance too.
-Feza was great and I preferred her when she wasn't with O'Neal
-Maria was a sweetheart but also pretty irrelevant and I didn't like the way she made fun of Natasha's english.
-Sulu was hilarious but sadly he was a misogynist alot of the time so I have mixed feelings about him
-Angelo started off a bit pervy but he really became likeable towards the end.
-The Nigerians (Melvin & Beverly) were so annoying in how untouchable they were, especially Beverly in that sense. Lasted 91 days without being nominated only to finish dead last in the final.
-Bassey was really annoying trying to hog camera time all the time, but he was harmless tbf.
-Denzel was a creepy perv and I'm glad he was booted first
-The Angolans (Biguesas & Neyll) were so sweet but were practically invisible as they could barely speak English, felt a bit bad for them both being evicted together as well. But they were non-factors.
-Also the ladies this season were STUNNING, in particular Koketso, Dillish, Beverly and Huddah <3

I plan on watching the third season of BB: South Africa next as I've heard great/amazing things. Plus, it's only 64 days long. But not sure when I'll start that yet as I need a lil break from binging.

Omg I got bored and started the launch of Star Game and the host is so awkward :skull:

Star Game was such an iconic series, stick with it!

I still need to make a fights compilation for it

RileyH 28-05-2019 02:27 PM

RileyH 28-05-2019 02:27 PM

Lockdown is gonna have me continuing my BB Africa watch tbh!

Headie 03-04-2020 06:17 PM

Thanks to Troy/Macie, I was able to download Season 4 of South Africa and have now uploaded it to Google Drive as well.

Instead of daily highlights episodes, there are 8 weekly recap/review episodes, as well as the 2 part launch and the finale episodes. So, basically a full series but instead of one episode per day, it's one episode per week.

Looking forward to watching it. Hope those of you who want to watch it enjoy too!

Headie 04-11-2020 01:56 AM

So with Lockdown 2 beginning, I finally decided to start my long-awaited first-watch of what I've heard is the amazing BB South Africa Season 3, and the launch didn't disappoint! I think the fact that I don't actually know that many spoilers about the series is definitely going to help me enjoy it more  (and yes, I'm well aware of the fact that nobody watches this **** except me but idc  I definitely want to document all my first-watches as I watch them so will keep using this thread for it!)

Also I can't wait for the random guest appearance from BBCAN's Emmett whenever he ends up staying for a week :joker: I remember seeing it on the BBCAN side show when it was airing and it looked pretty fun! Such a random BB guest to have tho lmao <3

The Housemates vs Chamber mates twist is pretty cool too, it's basically BB17's Main House vs The Others twist except the housemates don't actually know about the second house in this one  I'll be interested to see who the public ends up voting into the actual house.

And finally, I think the addition of Mzamo as an openly gay, black African male is such a good inclusion for a major African tv show, and I really hope the public receives him well because he seems super lovely and entertaining based on the launch!

My launch rankings are as follows...

Housemates:
1) Mzamo
2) Vanessa
3) Loko
4) Thando
5) Kat
6) Lexi
7) Lola
8) Sol
9) Jason

10) MK
11) Poole
12) Mandla

Chamber mates:
1) Nku
2) Iris
3) Kgosi

4) Jenayne
5) Paris
6) Mbali

Headie 10-11-2020 04:26 PM

Finished the first two weeks and the chambermates/second house twist, it's been fine so far but no stand-out moments as of yet in terms of drama other than the ejection. The editing can sometimes make it difficult to really form opinions on people so hopefully that improves now that the second house twist is over and there's less housemates to follow.

Ironically my favourite housemate is the only white one in the entire cast  We love a good role reversal!

Week 1 & 2 Rankings:

1) Vanessa
2) Mzamo
3) Lexi
4) Jenayne
5) Nku
6) Iris
7) Kat
8) Jase
9) Loko
10) Paris

11) Thando
12) Lola
13) Sol
14) MK
15) Poole
16) Mandla

17) Mbali
18) Kgosi
