48. MANiCURE // ARTPOP (track 6) // 2013 I ****ing scream at "I'm so sorry... I forgot to get a pedicure. So instead I got a MAN CURE" in the most half-arsed English accent in the above performance :joker: MANiCURE is definitely one of the most fun tracks on ARTPOP to listen to. It's high-energy, upbeat and Gaga's gutteral vocals mix so well with the rock guitar :love: It feels like a perfect blend of genres and it's just such a strong track. It saves us from JnD :love: |
47. Before I Cry // A Star Is Born (track 16) // 2018 It's a travesty that Before I Cry didn't make it into the film. It's definitely one of the best tracks on the soundtrack. It's half-banger, half-ballad. You can really hear the pain in Gaga's voice in her screaming vocals on the chorus. It's just so beautiful :love: |
46. Fashion of His Love // Born This Way (track 11) // 2011 As a bonus track, I feel FOHL doesn't nearly get the recognition it deserves. Although BTW as an album is sometimes referred to as an 80s throwback record, that sentiment is most strong on this track. It's just such a joyful track. The lyrics are so glorious, and the instrumental truly does take you back to an 80s-pop sound. Definitely a non-single BTW favourite. Spoiler: |

45. Why Did You Do That? // A Star Is Born (track 14) // 2018 Meme-able WDYDT is the biggest bop in Gaga's discography since 2013 :skull: It's an absolute joy to listen to. The vocals, the beat, just everything creates a pop CLASSIC https://i.makeagif.com/media/1-13-2016/5O5DcF.gif 44. Hair Body Face // A Star Is Born (track 15) // 2018 HBF is like WDYDT's older sister. It's just so mellow yet strong sounding, the lyrics are more heartfelt, and I just adore when she says "cos baby when I look at you, I just don't know what to do with you". Her voice. Although it's a bop, there's something almost melancholic about HBF. It's definitely me favourite of the bop trio from ASIB. It's sad it didn't get more prominence in the film. |

Judas // Born This Way (track 4) // 2011 Lowest-ranked REAL single According to wiki, Judas is 'Electro house'. https://66.media.tumblr.com/dc527995...3tc1o2_500.gif What I do know is that there's no denying Judas is a fully-fledged retro-inspired dance ANTHEM. It has amazing theming and iconography, and was a bold step for Gaga. I must say though, it doesn't send me quite as much as Gaga's other singles for the most part. There just seems to be something missing for me. |

42. Dope // ARTPOP (track 13) // 2013 Dope seems to be quite a divisive song in Gaga's discography. Personally, I love it. It's an entirely unique song on ARTPOP; it's the only song that's completely stripped back. I love the rasping vocals, I love the lyrics, and it just feels like one of her most genuine ballads. I love screaming along to it in front of the piano :dance: |

41. Hair // Born This Way (track 6) // 2011 Hair kinda feels like the second spearhead for BTW as an album after the title track, backing up the messages found in it. It's an emotional track... "I just wanna be myself and I just want you to love me for who I am"... "in the morning I'm short on my identity"..."I just wanna be free, I just wanna be me, and I want lotsa friends that invite me to their parties" are just a few of the lyrics that catch me right in the feels :( I do have one gripe with Hair though, and that's the post-chorus breakdown. It's just kinda messy, and doesn't sound as nice as the rest of the song. Spoiler: |
