Yeah it just shows that basic challenges can be entertaining too, and don't need a huge setup and crazy decors. Simple is enough sometimes.
Most of the challenges in the basement have been really good, and the reward/shopping tasks too.

Spoiler:

What a rollercoaster of an episode.

I went from being Team Chad/Sophie/Sarah + Marissa And Kieran to wanting Casey to win when Chad was dumb and wanted to go after Marissa thinking Casey would nom Sophie and Chad, but then I knew she'd be a p*ssy and chicken out and do Dan's bidding and nom Marissa (I could see Dan's telepathic death stare at Casey during the comp to nom Marissa) then back to Chad/Sophie/Sarah thinking they might evict Kieran but nope, they're still dumb.

starry 07-07-2020 12:39 PM

I thought the musical chairs was decent, but at the same time it was obviously far quicker and simpler to film than a hide and seek veto which I still find more challenging and interesting.

The finding of the advantage, something similar was done in BBCAN I think, was made a bit too easy, not putting it in a more surprising place.

All of the nomination challenges have been physical, it would be nice to fit in something mental. The shopping task challenges haven't been that great for me, and the BB judgement on them is far from clear, so they'll normally pass them whatever. The latest secret mission task seemed kind of pointless as a challenge as well.

Macie Lightfoot 07-07-2020 10:25 PM

Hide and Veto became trite and boring YEARS ago and it's so overdone. I don't find anything particularly interesting about watching people make messes for the sake of it for "good TV" either, especially when their idea of WaCkY TeLeViSiOn is like... needlessly dumping out all the food in the kitchen for shock value.

The only entertainment comes from the horror of the HGs having to clean up after themselves, but you really need a Sam Bledsoe to guarantee that.

07/07 Episode:

Spoiler:

So risky for Sophie to pull out that move, Sarah could have flipped but I'm glad she didn't. I like Sarah, but now she needs to align with Kieran to make a duo and break the bromance and the couple.

It looks like the white room is coming up next, this is going to be good!

I'm wondering who will betray who according to the teaser. I don't see Chad/Sophie turning on each other, so I suppose Matt or Dan do which can be good news for Kieran. I see Matt doing it to Dan, because he's clever and probably knows Dan would win if he gets to final 3 (bookies have Dan as winner)

Wizard. 13-07-2020 10:07 PM

Spoiler:

Whew we love the riggery for the people's favs!

Macie Lightfoot 14-07-2020 08:34 AM

Watching the latest episode and I am *SO GLAD* I have moderately subscribed to Kieran because he's easily the best non-Chophie left, especially with his hilarious OTTN edit as he terrorizes the rest of the house with his inability to perform any household task like washing dishes.

Daniel on the other hand :skull: him purposely wasting food to make messy dishes just to playground bully Kieran, and then GET UPSET at other people wining food rewards because he's losing so much weight in the house, like, pardon me for assuming that you don't care about food since you literally just created a scenario where food is seen as disposable and wasteful?! I'm getting Aaron BBUK12 flashbacks with his temper tantrum over the cereal food fight.

Captain.Remy 14-07-2020 09:36 AM

Dan is so insufferable. Always picking on Kieran, like, leave him alone ffs He's a nice goofy genuine lad. I hope Matt screws Dan over at some point.
And what a coward move from Chad, Sophie and Sarah to not have evicted Matt, but whatever

I'm rooting for Sarah right now, I hope she comes through!

14/07:

Spoiler:

Chad and Sophie really brought it on themselves didn't they? I don't support Dan but he made the right choice. Queen Angela was right about it all along but they didn't listen to her.
Rooting for Kieran to come back, Sophie is annoying anyway.

:skull: @ the over-dramatic teaser at the end :joker:

Macie Lightfoot 14-07-2020 03:58 PM

I mean Angela could’ve like... aligned with Chad and Sophie if she didn’t want them to target her. Let’s not rewrite history and pretend that she didn’t throw it all away for Daniel and Mat sadly.

Nobody is rewriting anything
She was toasted regardless, but she was right about Dan and Matt since the very first days in the house. We stan a visionary Queen.

Wizard. 14-07-2020 10:46 PM

Spoiler:

I’m sorry but Sophie NEEDS to come back, we cannot have a Dan, Mat and Kieran final 3.

This season has been good for drama. Screaming at Mat and Dans fumes in tomorrow’s teaser

Macie Lightfoot 15-07-2020 05:42 AM

That was probably the worst episode of the season eek. The removal of all the furniture was a complete waste of time and caused the HMs to just lie on the floor and bitch about how they want to go home. I thought it would maybe turn into some murder mystery type of task but it was a complete dud!

Captain.Remy 15-07-2020 08:41 AM

Yeah I didn't get the "robbery" either. There was no ending to it.
It was just to make them feel on edge I suppose.

Wizard. 15-07-2020 09:56 PM

Spoiler:

An absolute scream at Kieran walking home with 15k, Zoe and Casey will be pissed

Need Dan and Mat out now sour grapes

Thank **** for Sophie Budack.

Captain.Remy 16-07-2020 11:27 AM

So happy for Kieran! He wasn't going to win the grand prize anyway, so he made the right choice.
I hope Sophie/Chad/Sarah win the next challenge, otherwise I'm pretty sure Sophie is out again and Matt/Dan will win it all.
Still rooting for Sarah!

NICKP 16-07-2020 01:25 PM

Kieran was some sort of master strategist and ultimate game player That sure paid off

Jack_ 16-07-2020 02:28 PM

The previews totally gave away the fact Sophie was returning, which is a shame because Kieran was much better television cockroaching his way to the end

Deserved 50k too (like BBUK), not just 15! But glad it was on his terms

Also screaming @ Dan and Mat’s meltdown :joker: I respect them for that actually, normally when people return from a secret room it’s all fake smiles from everyone, they don’t even hate her they’re just pissed off which lol :skull:

Captain.Remy 20-07-2020 05:32 PM

20/07:

Spoiler:

Poor Sarah, I wanted her to get to the end! Dan is a coward and I hope he loses. At this point, I want either Sophie or Matt to win. But AU will probably vote for Dan or Chad anyway.

Wizard. 20-07-2020 10:35 PM

Yikes! That was a mess. They obviously let Matt have an advantage and gave Sophie TWO disadvantages due to Matt and Dan threatening to quit / sulking. I mean Sophie already gave up 15k to get back in ffs. Matt and Dan tho, they were gonna get rid of Sarah at 4 anyway not sure why they’re making Sophie out to be the devil incarnate.

I’ve thought for weeks now that Dan has this in the bag, he’s had a really strong “winners” edit throughout and it definitely feels like they’re pushing him more than anyone followed by Sophie but I feel like they’re trying to make her come across as more annoying considering they played her saying that winning big brother is her dream three times in one episode when she only ever said it once.

Australia getting furious that Sarah of all people was Cirie'd :joker:

I actually could see any of the F4 winning under certain timelines so here's what I am going to say:

A Sophie win would obviously be ideal. She picked up the fumble at the Angela boot and has carried the show ever since. I think she's passionate about the game in a way that's actually interesting and between her quotables and temper tantrums, she honestly has been challenging Angela for my #1 spot of the season.

A Chad win would be perfectly fine, and I think he's the most likely option for being a hot guy and getting the anti-Dan vote. I like how someone of his aesthetic absolutely should have been part of the Alpha alliance, and yet he's spent his entire summer simping for Sophie  he's harmless and cute and mildly fun.

A Daniel win would make me roll my eyes, but I've been preparing myself for it because the show has been pushing him as A Season-Defining Character. I think he's kind of an ass but there's a minimal amount of charm there that I wouldn't be too upset at the end of the day.

A Mat win would be the worst case scenario to me. Being from Broken Hill is not a personality trait, Mathew!!!

Captain.Remy 21-07-2020 09:47 AM

The advantage/disadvantage thing was completely shady. Matt had an advantage but couldn't use it because Kieran pushed the button. Too bad, but it should have ended there.
And all of a sudden two disadvantages for Sophie coming out of nowhere too that nobody knew during the White Room twist. It looked so wrong.

Captain.Remy 21-07-2020 09:57 AM

I would rather a Matt win over a Dan one. At least Matt is likable and seems to be a solid nice dude. Dan is just...scared of birds, and his behavior towards Kieran was insufferable.

I don't see Chad winning in any scenario (him vs Sophie + Dan or Sophie + Matt or Dan + Matt). Nice dude too, but I guess not as big of a character as the others. That being said, in worldwide BB history, we've come to see A LOT of nice bland housemates win over more entertaining ones.

A Sophie win would be ideal. Sure she made some questionable choices but she picked it up since. Her being evicted and fighting to stay is appreciated as a viewer. She has better chances of winning if Chad is not in the final 3.

Captain.Remy 21-07-2020 04:50 PM

21/07:

Spoiler:

The best part of this episode was Angela's message.:joker:
We'll see tomorrow if Chad made the right choice, though I don't think he would win in any scenario, but who knows! That's exciting because the public didn't have a say until now so there's no way to predict how this can go.
