...it’s more the use of the same storyline, Vanessa...not the job itself...it just feels a bit go to because it’s been done before...

I agree Kat is wasted on it.
That's why I'm happy to see her involved with Phil.
Much better use of her talents

It’s not the job I have a problem with, it’s how the Slaters from 2018 onwards have been made out to be the tramps of the square when they’re one of the most iconic families the show has had. This, along with the scatty material they’ve been getting (aside from Jeans cancer) has halted their character development

Spoiler:

I hope the rumours are true about Stacey and Martin reuniting and taking a break together

Jean and Stacey reading Ben for filth :clap1:

Callum just turned Ben against his brother

Didn’t get the ending at all :suspect:

Because it went from Tina and Ian in Ian’s to Ian on the floor of the Vic? At first I didn’t know if it was supposed to be a trailer or something.

I’m guessing it’s the trailer. It was giving me how to get away with murder vibes. I also think it was the most heavily editied scene in EE history?

The final zooming out shot of Ian resembling Lucy :skull:

That was such an amazing episode.
I love a good whodunnit!

Getting a rape victim to make a rape joke was not okay and extremely out of character for Stacey

Writers fault

Gstar 07-12-2020 08:49 PM

Right so after tonights episode

Kathy is ruled out
Karen saying that Sharon was with her the whole time but I still think Sharon is involved
Ben clearly knows something :idc:
It can’t be Max, even though he left Linda for a moment he’s too obvious
Bobby is 80% ruled out, the 20% is my suspicion between him and Ben in the hospital, very tense.

I think one or more people are indirectly involved/accidentally seen something.

Tina’s alibi indicates that Ian could of been hit several times (by different people) and later collapsed in the vic

Yeah, I think this too. I think it’s gonna go down the road of Tina being charged for it (even though she didn’t deliver the final blow), but Stuart, Bobby and Suki/Keerhat are at the top of my list. I think Ben went to confront Ian, but saw him seemingly dead on the ground and just left silently so not to be framed or placed at the scene.

Suki telling Keerhat ‘I’ve already got one of my boys in prison’ as a kind of warning when they were discussing the incident is suspicious and I wouldn’t be surprised if she ordered him to kill Ian. She made sure she was on the CCTV at Ruby’s having a drink so she can’t be linked to the crime.

Judging by next weeks spoilers
Spoiler:

Stuart confronts Rainie over what she’s hiding, and she confesses a big secret, but then she turns the tables on him and asks where he was the night of the murder. To me, this sounds like Rainie has been doing something dodgy, likely not involved with the murder, as she wouldn’t be asking where Stuart was if it was her that did the crime :joker:

The way Peter spent the whole episode making sure Bobby didn’t spill about their chat is very telling - if Peter knew Bobby committed the crime then the wording would have been different. But it seems as if it’s Peter not wanting people to know he wanted Ian dead which leads me down the route of it being him - and I wouldn’t be shocked to see him frame Bobby if it comes to it.

Spoiler:

Max and Tina
are the two we know are leaving soon, but I really don’t believe it’s either of them. It’d be too obvious, and
Spoiler:

Max’s
schedule wouldn’t line up with an exit at the end of this storyline. I would take a guess and say
Spoiler:

Tina
gets ‘wrongly’ convicted and goes to jail, whilst the real culprit essentially gets away with it.

Tina will be responsible for the graffiti.

But then she has form for lashing out after she brained Stuart with a wrench.

She also had a fight with him in his house leaving him dazed and beaten, as we discovered last night. So she’s still responsible in a way, just probably not for the actual death.

I cant help but feel Tina's exit is her being framed for Attempted murder

Not really.

You can't blame a punch to the face for the injury from a smashed bottle to his skull. :joker:

Well, you said Ian's injury could be a collection of incidents much like Lucy's murder. But it's not quite the same as Lucy, who had several bumps to the head. Ian's quite clearly had his head caved in with a glass bottle by one perpetrator. Not a collapse brought on by several incidents.

But is is a collection of incidents. We know the final blow was the glass to the head, we also know there was an altercation with Tina who also had facial scars and hands covered in blood which isn’t exactly a single punch to the face. So whether they’re the only two incidents or there’s more remains to be seen, but there’s already two that can be seen.

But it isn't known if a "collection of incidents" led to his injuries. All we know is he has been confronted by several suspects, as always happens in a whodunnit.

But his injuries are from being glassed in the Vic, the final incident.
