The Dems might not gain control of the Senate after all, which weirdly might end up being the most disappointing result of them all

Ammi 04-11-2020 04:16 AM

...so the betting odds have flipped to Trump being favourite, I’m reading...

Biden is now likely to take the state of Georgia

Amy Jade 04-11-2020 04:20 AM

not going to lie I do not understand how the US election vote works but it's looking pretty strong for Biden, right?

Basically each state is given a number of votes based on population, and each town and city in the states votes and the candidate with the most overall votes win the state, but to be elected you need 270 electoral points

I would not describe this performance as “strong”. I mean, he *might’ve* flipped Arizona which hasn’t voted for a Democrat since 96, but the election is on a knife edge and if he wins it’s not going to be by any significant margin

If anything I’d say it’s Trump who is outperforming expectations

Jack_ 04-11-2020 04:35 AM

Fox News have retracted their Arizona call lol

(The White House were unhappy they called so early)

edit: okay apparently no retraction

Denver 04-11-2020 04:37 AM

Biden needs 55 votes

GoldHeart 04-11-2020 04:40 AM

What a surprise Trump won Florida :bored::bored: predictable much

Amy Jade 04-11-2020 04:40 AM

I totally don't get how it works haha either way the ITV coverage is showing Biden is only 55 points away which is great?

LaLaLand 04-11-2020 04:42 AM

Basically each state is worth a particular amount of points , but yeah their voting system is annoying .

LaLaLand 04-11-2020 04:45 AM

I'm optimistic because if Trump knew he had won or was very likely he would be bragging about it

Amy Jade 04-11-2020 04:47 AM

He comes across so much better than Trump ever has, he just says what needs to be said and no nonsense unlike Trump who spills venom

Jack_ 04-11-2020 04:49 AM

And so it begins...

Trump is ****ting himself

GoldHeart 04-11-2020 04:51 AM

Landslide victory with Trump being humiliated in defeat would of been really nice for Biden . I hate how close this is , Trump might still win :bored:

LaLaLand 04-11-2020 04:52 AM

Trump has called CNN personally and requested they do not announce Biden's win in Arizona.
