I think they thought because he is back with the girl who accused him and is having a baby and all charges were dropped that the strength of feeling would diminish given time. However, even though she actually tried to drop it as soon as she made the allegations - we all heard the tape and most people with any morals will not accept the sexual aggression he displayed and so this will not go away. It will be probably one of the only times home and away fans abuse the same player if he ever steps foot on a pitch in this country again.

I was wondering about the reactions he’s gonna get at every ground including their home one ..

oh right, I mean many women go back to their abusers as they think they can change them, that doesn't mean the rest of us have to accept his behaviour and it sends a terrible message to young men that having money will smooth everything out

i think the backlash will be huge. Football uses all these slogans, like be kind, equality for all etc etc and yet here we have a football club that is condoning abusive behaviour

As far as the legal system is concerned, he's an innocent man. It will be interesting to see how the club handles it.
