This massive showing is part of the problem, but like sheep we follow and worship it. We are told this is how the world should work, when in reality it's utter bollocks. Im a realist, the world will never be a "i love you and you love me, we are all equal" utopia, but jeez, just watching this again now, it's surreal and just plan madness.

Also, isn't it AMAZING 90% of the country can you unite on this, but with everyday mundane stuff will all argue until the cows come home?

But we chose sides and ignore the obvious wrongs. Pitted against each other to keep us in check.

A republic would be better, but wealth and power rules. And we accept it. If you speak out though you're branded "clueless" and "ah you dunno what you're on about"

So messed up.

Swan 19-09-2022 02:38 PM

One positive thing i'll say though, at least the royals are good for employment. Must 100 thousand people involved in setting all this up.

A republic in the UK would be just as divisive as it is in the US as it would be left and right politics just like Mayors are

There is no easy answer tbh

You just said about the marching, it's cult like! Physical sacrifice in order to worship.

Swan 19-09-2022 02:41 PM

Oh, one of the horses playing up, how dare they, what a show of disrespect, bullet for them after this!!

its completely OTT they should have left in in London and had a more simple personal service in Windsor, this is not moving at all, in fact it is pretty irritating it is dragging on for so long imo

The actual service in the Abbey seemed to lose its like continuity a bit.

However excellent to see, we have this and do this all so brilliantly, I'd never want that to be lost.

It really touched me.
As all this has since the passing of Her Majesty the late Queen.

It's been a rollercoaster of a couple of weeks.
I always was a Monarchist, I'm certainly even more cemented in my thinking as to that now.
Not that I think all they do is right.
No way.
However I'd hate to think of this Nation under a President.

Could it be possibly be any worse than what we have here .. be it the Tories or Labour or whoever in control ?
