Caught up last night! And yes I'd agree with the likely theories that Gemma is a clone (especially with the goats), the techniques they've used to create Severance are also being used experimentally to transfer consciousness entirely from one body to a new clone body - I would add to that, though, that if it's the case it seems likely that Gemma was somehow involved (e.g. had an implant) BEFORE her accident, or possibly, Lumon briefly had access to her after the accident but before she died. I don't know how they'd have "harvested" her memories otherwise.

Also possibly a good call with Ms Huang being a 2.0 clone.

They're also doing a lot of talking about souls/soulmates... and one clear thing they're indicating is that Helly R and Mark S, and both of their outies, seem to feel a "connection" to each other no matter which "version" they're in. Same with Irving and Burt, and Dylan and his wife. And yet Mark S (innie) and Ms Casey didn't seem to feel that connection or any recognition... potentially, because she is a "copy" of Gemma not any form of the original, thus will discover that their "innate" connection isn't there.

I'm also pretty sure they'll all end up being reintegrated which will be interesting to see. It's been shown that they basically ARE the same people - Mark S innie and outie are basically very similar in all ways. Irving seemed different but in the end, his "outie" personality started to come through in his "innie". Dylan is an interesting one because he's just a version of himself that "found something he's good at" and feels confident in himself because of that, whereas his "outie" is aimless and a bit depressed because he feels useless. Helly R will be the most interesting IMO because "innie" Helly firmly for obvious reasons wants to believe that they are nothing alike, but in all likelihood, "innie" Helly is what "outie" Helena would be like if she hadn't been raised in the family she was raised in; the person she's become as an "outie" is strongly corrupted by power/her relationship with her father... so when they reintegrate it may change "outie Helly" significantly (i.e. she'll end or change Lumon when it passes to her)

My theorising :D

Spoiler:

You would have to wonder though even if we assume Gemma somehow consented to Luman having access to her brain or whatever, how could they be sure Mark S would choose to sign up for Severence afterwards so they could complete the mission?

i think every time Gemma gets woken up its a new clone with memory retention somehow. So basically the longest time a clone was alive was her 8 hour day watching Helly

What do we think the "work" on the computers is that the Innies are doing? What's the relevance to it? Maybe specific dates that mean something or?

…if I recall in the Goat Room, one of the goat people said ‘you can’t take them, they’re not ready yet, it isn’t time …’…and I feel as though Gemma has to take the room steps each day and repeat and repeat until she’s ready/perfectly cloned…the dreaded dentist room was interesting because maybe she had to keep repeating it until she didn’t dread or hate it, until she was fine with it and they’d severed her emotions…?…she’s obviously still holding on to her love for Mark so she can’t be ready yet for that reason either…in the Goat Room they were also asked if they were there to kill them…which might be the fate of a clone that for whatever reason is flawed or whatever…that they just can’t get right…maybe the numbers on the screens somehow align for a perfect clone match….and those that don’t connect and have to be discarded…with Quantum’s soulmate thing…?…that feels that it might be less soulmates and more fertility mates and creating the perfect children…like super babies or something…

Spoiler:

I dunno, unless they have some REALLY advanced technology going on, I don't think Irving and Burt are going to be creating any superbabies :D. That would be a REAL twist...

Sort of a spanner in a prominent theory...

Spoiler:

Re: The theory that Ms Huang is a Gemma clone, that would mean she's just a younger Gemma, and while people CAN look quite different as kids (especially in TV land) ... ... what I am finding unrealistic...

No wait I just solved this myself but I'll post it anyway. I was going to say, Mark S would know what Gemma looked like as a kid, from pictures etc. because who hasn't seen their spouse as a kid.

But then I realised that Outie Mark has never seen Ms Huang, and innie Mark S doesn't know sh1t :joker:.

Spoiler:

The creators already said in an interview that the twist has nothing to do with cloning.

Also lumon was gathering information on Mark and Gemma for years, the blood drive, the fertility clinic, probably Mark's therapist etc.. They might have found a quality in Gemma or both of them that they wanted for something, that's my view anyway.

I like this theorising mystery-show thread by the way - you should all watch "From" so that we can have a "From theories" thread too - the internet theories and sleuthing for that show are hilarious :joker:. "Lost"-level conspiracy theories.

[edit] OK nothing will ever reach "Lost"-level, that's an exaggeration.
