At what point though when someone explains their actions weren't how you perceieved it do you admit oh sorry I took that the wrong way.

I hate these kinds of arguments. They border on emotional manipulation. We can't argue about how another person feels. People can feel lots of ways. Once I say "I feel like you murdered my soul by disagreeing with me just then"... that's an impossible hill to climb. How can there be anything but an impasse? So without seeing the situation, we know very little...
