It's your best banner so far.

The white looks a bit unusual, but that's the first time you were following the tutorial, so people should think bout that.
I think that's REALLY good!! &you should do more banners in that way.

the one thing I am stuck about is the text so I left it blank. in this banner used the gradient and the photo masque to get it right and I DID! for SO liking it I am over the moon and will do more banners like that in the future!

PS I think you're improving, that Pete Burns banner is your best yet. But I think you should practice using the eraser tool for blending instead of the smudge tool, it looks much better, but that's just my opinion.
