fter buying out the company and it’s catalog, WIDEawake Entertainment has announced they will release a new album from 2Pac featuring previously unreleased songs as well as rerelease Dr. Dre’s The Chronic under the name The Chronic Re-lit with 4 unreleased songs and a bonus DVD.

The as yet untitled 2Pac album will be released June 2010 in time for ‘Pac’s next birthday, while The Chronic Re-lit will be out this September. The bonus DVD for Chronic Re-lit will apparently feature behind the scenes footage and video clips from the album.

Hopefully it will debut at #1 to keep his record going
all his albums have reached #1 in the billboard

This is the first ive head about Pac being a Freemason, what evidence are you going on?

And i love Pac, but this album will be some bull ****, i dont want to hear Pac over a Sha XL Money beat, i wanna hear him over the original beat, same way i dont wanna hear Pac on a track with someone like Tony Yayo, just need to leave Pacs work alone and just release the originals.

Deffo but alot of singers are continuing to use his music in their songs which is good x
yes and he a new album set for 2009
Seriously? x
yeah

The Lost Scriptures it's called

it's amazing to think he still has tracks which haven't been released yet[/rquote]

Judging by the lack of education on the 2Pac situation, I'll break it down:

1) The new album: The album is slated for a June 2010 release date to mark his 39th birthday, and the title of the album is not "The Lost Scriptures". That title has been thrown around for years on the news of an 'upcoming' 2Pac release.... The only public title to be briefly placed as a name-holder is "Pure 2Pac" inciting the initial proclamation of the albums "13 tracks" being as 'pure' to the original as humanly possible, and not the modern mainstream remixes we have been used to in the charts since his death - Eg: Changes, Ghetto Gospel, Pacs Life, Until The End of Time etc. Don't believe everything that is written down in Wikipedia, I can't even count how many times they that site has publicized false information and had a fleet of idiots behind it carry it on as 'fact'.

2) His Death/Alive conspiracies: We laughed these back off around 99, but in 97/98 it wasn't hard to believe that he could have possibly faked his death.. To believe that now is just ridiculous and embarrassing.... Bottom line - 2Pac hit a well known Crip gang member - Orlando Anderson, and was gunned down after it... The only suspicious issue was the lack of information or justice, which makes it real easy to ignite alive rumours for someone who rapped so frequently about darkness, death, and the illuminati.. That night in Vegas, Suge Knight (CEO of Death Row Records) and his good friend Trevon, along with Frank Alexander (2Pac's bodyguard) and others were all in a car entourage when the car pulled up and open fired... Want to point the finger at someone?? Point it at Orlando Anderson, and also Reggie Wright - who ran Wrightway security - a security company that was hired by Death Row Records.. Reggie Wright knew blood and crip gang members, and his father was a deputy police gang officer assigned to control and enforce law amongst gang neibourhoods in LA

3) 2Pac didn't read books on Makaveli. Makaveli was his alias he adapted from an ancient philsopher named Niccolo Machiavelli

4) He didn't want Biggie dead.. a track in his greatest hits album (Track: God Bless The Dead) says "rest in peace to my N... Biggie Smalls", was referencing an old friend, who was also nicknamed Biggie Smalls. It was a common nickname in the hood.. Biggie & 2Pac thing was jealously, deceit, and competition. Both camps churned out battle raps, and made millions on the controversy. Anyone who thinks that The East/West rivalry was to blame for both deaths is believing media hype on the belief that the stereotypical image of "gangster" rap can be deadly

5) He's dead. Anyone who thinks otherwise is clearly an idiot.. These "7" theories are on-going every year, and more pathethic than ever before... Did you know that there's 7 seconds pause before his outro on Changes?? His single came out on August 16th.. 1+6 = 7 - he must be alive!! lol! People can make 7 out of anything. It means nothing. His Don Killuminati Album was originally called "the 3 day theory" due to being recorded in 3 days, with an additional 4 days to mix the album down, it adopted the name of 7 day theory. I have a promo that has the 3 day theory sticker on it... The alive theories are carried out by the company that owns his master recordings - Amaru Entertainment, and they do this, because it fuels the idea that he could still be alive to have naive people buy into the BS!!! He's dead. I couldn't see 2Pac sit back and have his legacy tarnished by sub-standard releases such as Loyal To The Game & Pac's Life

6) 2Pac is the highest selling Hip Hop artist to date, and is highly influencial, not just in the Hip Hop genre, but other music forms too. There are university classes on his extensive poetic work, and a school of arts in his name.. He worked harder than your favourite singer/rapper, and gave more - based on income/percentage wise than your favourite singer or rapper.. He was articulate, and intelligent, but yet he died due to the foolish mistake of stepping out and believing he was bigger street-rep-wise than what he actually was and got dealt with for it, so you can say he died being a childish idiot, but he is iconic for a reason, it's just a shame that many jump on to his symbolic status and tear it down, as well as the appearance of his fans by coming out with dumb S... Some of which has been posted in this thread

Iceman 11-09-2009 12:50 AM

Agree completely on point 4, if anyone thinks that they wanted each other dead is crazy, they made each other tons of money.......

Can't wait for this album....

BBUK4LYFE 11-09-2009 01:08 AM

I can't see how anyone who has Britney Spears & Christina Aguilera in their avatar can be in any sort of position to declare who and who aren't legends in music.. 2Pac is a legend. Let's run through some facts:

1) He's the highest selling Hip Hop artist ever (ever - meaning higher than Eminem, 50 Cent, Jay Z, Will Smith - everyone)
2) Broke numerous groundbreaking records, and started numerous records himself.. #1 album while in prison, first double album in rap history
2) Is regarded as one of the most influencial artists in the current generation (Justin Timberlake, T.I)
3) Has had more musical work put out after his death, than when he was alive achieving consistent platinum status every time, and which is all previously 'unheard', indicating that his work ethic was unlike any ever seen before in ANY music genre
4) While alive was in blockbuster movies, music videos, hosting MTV awards, in prison, in the media spotlight. He was very popular
5) Has 'Top' American universitys giving classes committed solely on his poetry alone (to give you a brief idea of how his influence exists)
6) Has an arts centre, and school for the arts in his name, funded by his recent releases
7) While alive, he used a huge amount of his earnings on youth groups, the ppor, and kids who had parents who were alcohol or drug addicted. He had 4 addresses in his name, 3 of which were used to house homeless, and most importantly he done this QUIETLY!!! Far more than Your favourite singer ever done or does

I can go on, but bottom line - 2Pac is a legend. Don't comment on a subject you know nothing about
