I'm not saying Diana should try and sing like Laura I'm saying Diana needs to show some of the vocal talent that Lara is showing. Diana needs to show off a bit and surprise us. So far Diana has only sung certain types of songs in a certain way. If she continues then she'll become a one trick pony. Personally, I think she is a one trick pony so its up to her to surprise someone like me.

Fair enough, I see what your saying and I think you are right to a point.

If she wants to go far in the x-factor she will need to do more than she is doing now and up her game. You basically fear she can't do that and that will get her voted out of the show at some point because she is talented enough vocally. I agree that is a possibility, that her lack of vocal skills might be her downfall, but then again there must be more to her singing than she has shown so far.

If I remember correctly didn't she say she had been in Annie, or played Annie, I can't remember which, but that musical requires a certain amount of power to get the songs across. I remember seeing it when it was on at the west-end and even the first song "hard knock life" requires the singers to belt the song out to get maximum effect.

I think she upped her game this week and can continue to do so she doesnt need to belt out anything and like Billy said man in the mirror isnt slow

I think, even if she does totally screw up she has such a big fan base she'll go through any way. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her in the final at the expense of Ruth, Rachel or Alex, and I think all three of those are potentially better singers with more range, control, power and versatility. I don’t deny Diana is a good singer I just don’t think she's anywhere near as good as many people say.

I agree with you that she isn't the best singer, but she is different to every other singer in the x-factor and I think is what is generating all the interest in her.

And I also agree that Ruth and Alexandra are better singers than her as is Laura, however I'm yet to be convinced by anything that Rachel has done on the live shows, she of all the girls has been the least impressive and I expected much more form her.

Unfortunately I think both Ruth's and Rachel's time on the show will be limited. In the case of the later, because she is too head strong and won't take advice that is offered to her and in the case of the former because she doesn't have a fan base.

Although I wouldn't at this stage I wouldn't miss Rachel, I feel Ruth leaving early would be such a shame. Ruth proved she has the ability to move people with the power, emotion and passion in her voice when she sang purple rain.

However, returning to Diana if she does make it to the final it will be because of her style of singing and her natural ability to seduce the camera and the audience. To change her into something she is not would be foolish of any mentor.
