I've just watched it now and it was quite uncomfortable and quite deliberate. I think what made it worse is that he actually felt aggrieved at being called out on it and was patting himself on the back for not kicking off even though he was the only one at fault
Mostly I've liked Mickey from the first two eps and he should be a good housemate but it shouldn't be hard to accept he's in the wrong here |

The apology wasn’t genuine at all. |
I don't think we'll be taking his age as an excuse for his "ways" when he was slapping/kicking his wife around and holding a gun to her head as a threat... 30 years ago, when he was in his early 40's.
"Allegedly". |

I thought he did it for her more than him since she was clearly still upset about it. I don't think he cared either way. That doesn't make it heartfelt... the way he did it was like when he gifted the blender to a total no name... |

That is entirely feasible .. he even touched on that very point the other night |

People are generally so open for discussion, but you hear something you don't like, you immediately resort to insults and mockery, and belittling. And of course, reminding us all of how grand and full of riches your life is. :smug: |

You can’t say the apology wasn’t genuine - we do know that he was reprimanded and warned by BB , then immediately held to task by JoJo as he came out of the diary room … he then went outside alone and came back in later to apologise .. That suggests that the apology was indeed heartfelt . |

Gay people bad - No Trans people bad - No (trans men in sports, up for debate) Meghan Markle bad - Yeah, she's insufferable, just like her husband Pride flags bad - No Trump good - Not really, but politics is funny Tommy Robinson good - Nah, does make a good point about the Islamic pedo gangs in the UK, but on the whole, not a fan Andrew Tate Good - No, Massive prick Reform - Tricky one Now, how much am a racist and phobe am i on your non existent chart? |

Misunderstaning now cleared up
This should now put this whole mountain out of a molehill to bed
"Mickey's longtime friend Kimberly Hines argued that 'old school' Mickey isn't purposely trying to hurt or 'offend' anyone, but is merely not up to scratch with the 'politically correct vocabulary' used in 2025. " |

That makes perfect sense and is apparent when you take the time to listen to him Just going back to the ‘incident’ .. JoJo said to the actress that they had a good talk afterwards and that she felt that when someone says or does something like Mickey ( supposedly) did … then it comes because that person is really a hurt person inside … Then she hit him with the killer nomination ! Last night she was having a great , friendly chat with him so he will think that its all a thing in the past .. all forgotten and forgiven. She then went straight to Michael ( she nominated him for being ‘old and cringe’ ) and laughed and joked and gave him a huge playful hug … I wouldn’t trust her at all … |

What is happening here lol. |
Mickey was obviously joking. Unfortunately his jokes are old 80s ones and he didn't understand that they're not acceptable anymore.
Glad Jojo explained it to him and now it looks like they're getting on great. Still not happy about her stabbing him in the back, but at least it was a valid reason. |

Exactly How can anyone think he was being serious.. |

But I don't believe that he was just telling an innocent joke either. I think that he is a wind up merchant (which I personally don't mind on BB,) and he was looking to get a reaction out of Jojo. That's my interpretation of his comments. |

I think he was bantering and of course it went a bit wrong  |
