Tonights episode was done very well, tomorrow is going to be so sad. Give's the actor a chance to shine!

Agreed. Think her killing was anger motivated. Tomorrow's will have me bawling!

Kazanne 21-04-2014 08:19 PM

To cover his own ass probably

For everyone trying to work out who killed Lucy Beale, you’re not alone in not knowing. In fact only four people know who actually did it, according to the producer of Eastenders.

Dominic Treadwell-Collins admitted to a UK newspaper that not one member of the cast knows the identity of the killer, and only three other people besides him know.

He told a UK newspaper: “The killer is known by myself and three other people [in the production team]. When they are revealed, we don’t want everyone to go, ‘Oh, I never guessed that.’

“We want everyone to go, ‘Oh that makes sense, oh my God, that’s upsetting.’
Hmmm

I'd prefer that to someone completely irrelevant killing her, like Sonia lol

A very positive thread in comparison to DS which is full of whiners.

Most people on DS have a low intellect level so it doesn't surprise me

Vanessa 21-04-2014 10:07 PM

Ugh! DS is so depressing! I only go there for the news.

Brother Leon 21-04-2014 10:07 PM

DS is just depressing whenever I check it out.

I was thinking...if it will drag for 10 months then surely it has to be some sort of complicated death. Something Forensics and all that CSI rubbish can't work out fairly quickly? Or at least a Murder that was done almost perfectly to avoid being caught for that long

That would suggest it was planned actually hmm

It must be as...

Spoiler:

the police originally think it's a mugging gone wrong but then realise her body was set up to make it look that way and they open up a murder investigation. Which makes it likely she was killed somewhere else and then moved to the woods.

There's also trauma to her head as seen in the preview clip

Loukas 22-04-2014 01:17 AM

Spoiler:

my personal suspects are Peter, Cindy, Lee & Whitney

Firewire 22-04-2014 01:19 AM

David Wicks suspects Max next week

Jords 22-04-2014 01:21 AM

I was thinking the residents are all gonna turn on each other!

Shaun 22-04-2014 01:24 AM

I picked Whitney in the poll but I'm already almost convinced otherwise  the scene with Bianca and the easter eggs in the mini-mart were too light-hearted for a recent murderer, surely?

I think Peter could be a good shout, making sure he's seen in public waiting around for her as if nothing's happened + buying her a drink... but I dunno... not much of a motive, is it? (Ian's favouritism)

It's fair to say Ian's off the cards now too :p I don't know why he was ever considered.

Chef dude who was banging Lauren seems too obvious after his appearance tonight. As does Max (hiding from Ian). Had to point out to my mum that Denise looked guilty because she was about to leave Ian, though

I don't know. If I had the luxury of circling 3 potential culprits I'd go for Aleks, Shabnam (why not) and...hmm... Nick I guess.

Firewire 22-04-2014 01:29 AM

It's definitely not Kim or Stacey

Firewire 22-04-2014 01:30 AM

I thought maybe it could be Danny Pennant. What if Lucy texted him after the whole argument with Peter because she felt low and needed meaningless sex? I'm sure Danny introduced her to the cocaine. He organised to meet with her at the new flats and he killed her in revenge.

good theory!! Is he due to come back to the square?

Marsh. 22-04-2014 03:45 AM

I'm thinking Ronnie Mitchell is involved and will have her exit around the anniversary.

He isn't but he did say "it won't be the last of Danny" when he left

Ooooooh, interesting. But doesn't the advert claim the murderer is living amongst them, like right now?

EastEnders pulled in their highest figures of the year so far on Easter Monday (April 21), overnight figures show.

EastEnders was the most-watched soap of the day, rising to 8.18m (34.6%) at 8pm on BBC One as Ian Beale was told that his daughter Lucy had been found dead. BBC Three's repeat screening secured 265k (6.0%) at 12.05am.

Following big promotion surrounding the Lucy storyline, the Walford drama was ahead of Coronation Street and also had its highest ratings since Alfie and Roxy's wedding on November 25.
