In my opinion the 1.4/1.6 officials is what it should be getting in overnights to really be seen as succeeding and not 1.1 million its just lame.

With the success of BB14 CBB13 I expected the audience to stick, obviously I assumed it would drop for the world cup episodes but most episodes don't even face the world cup, its like once or twice a week right? and with no competition it still comes last in its slot on alot of occasions now and barely gets over 1 million.

I honestly cant even back up the ratings or put a good spin on them as much as I would like to.

Same ppl blaming the football but there was nothing on last night and could only get 1.1m that's really poor

Can we all just agree that ratings are both good and bad and okay to satisfy everybody. It's clear this thread has very little with the actual ratings and is based more solely on opinions.. If you feel the need to speak your opinion, then that's fine, but i don't get why everybody feels the need to pick at others opinions. If you don't believe them, you don't need to tell them every time.

I for one think that yes, the overnights are not good, while I think the officials are great considering the bad negativity through Facebook, twitter, word of mouth and this very own site, along with the competition of football etc and a load of other factors..

BB has become less about the show and more about people's opinions, which are never on a happy medium. For the sake of pages and pages of the same disagreements with each other can we please get on with the ratings, without unnecessary comments, it's not fun or interesting to read.

Its a thread to debate.

You cant just leave a comment giving your opinion and then tell us all to agree to disagree.

what did last nights get?

JohnnyBB 08-07-2014 09:58 AM

Last night's debut episode of The100 is the highest rating programme launch ever on E4- 1.7m/8.1% share

Channel 5 BenefitsBritain was second most watched in the 9pm hour, drawing 2.51m/11.7%.

Look at E4 bringing in new record highs and theres suppose to be football.

The logical reason why the figures have dropped and not recouped is simple. The football took away some viewers that have since lost interest due to the fact that they missed too many episodes and switching back on, only to be interrupted by hubby once again for the footie finals, isnt worth it. The numbers will pick up slightly after the footie finals but only if BB get some serious tabloid intervention with a big story like a HELEN / ASHLEIGH FISTICUFFS OR A BIG SEX SCANDAL. That might make the GBP sit up and switch back on but alas, this year, the lack of fun and inventive tasks are hitting the show really hard.

Helen and Ashleigh are carrying the show at the moment and its not enough. Even the Steven Kimbo sticky fingers episode wont help as it was expected and most people with a brain can see how many wannabees the show has this year and are unwilling to support them. Its all getting very boring and predictable and the BB production team are lagging too far behind to catch up.

Last nights rating were very good. I will leave it for salv to post :)

@bbuk_fans 08-07-2014 10:13 AM

1.31

*mazedsalv** 08-07-2014 10:13 AM

BB gets highest ratings in 4 weeks. 1.31m excl +1, so around 1.4m including. Thanks to Benefits programme which got 2.51m incl +1

+1 rating may be higher than usual due to the last moments of the show.

Excluding +1 it came 3rd in it's slot.

Jamesy 08-07-2014 10:14 AM

7.8% share too, which is excellent!

Weird the Benefits program does so well. I find it pretty boring to watch so don't bother. Does good for C5 though.

Will. 08-07-2014 10:16 AM

Thats brillant, hopefully it will get similar ratings when the world cup finishes as it wasn't on last night. Armageddon starts next monday, so it should get great ratings if this monday got about 1.4 with +1

I dont get why people like benefits programmes, I don't know anyone who watches them but theres obviously popular as a lot of people watch them.

JohnnyBB 08-07-2014 10:25 AM

We can only pray steven finger blasted again last night! Hopefully by the end of the week she'll be pregnant that would give raitings a bigger boost.

*mazedsalv** 08-07-2014 10:30 AM

Sadly any momentum will be lost with the Brazil semi final tonight, shame because the show tonight looks explosive.

Vladimir 08-07-2014 11:04 AM

That's really good! :D

Benefit claimants are the new hate figures. People prefer to hate than to love....... sadly.

*mazedsalv** 08-07-2014 11:19 AM

According to this it got 90k on +1 which brings it to 1.40m.

Same. I know no one who watches it either.

I guess since people in general look down on those who claim they like watching this type of thing to fuel their anger even more.

Samm 08-07-2014 11:41 AM

Nice, hopefully it gets more when the twist starts next week

Ironic how BB 14 most viewed highlight show was week 5 Monday which got 1.77 (Daley's Ejection aftermath), and BB 15 highest ratings highlight show so far is week 5 Monday with 1.40.

I think it's doing well, considering the World Cup is still on. :)
