I never wanted this referendum in the first place because I knew this would be the result. The politics of fear always wins (see: last year's general election) and on the subject of Trump I also wouldn't rule a presidential victory out now either.

All I can do is laugh. I will laugh at those who voted for this who find that in the near future they're being forced to work longer, for less and with less rights like holiday pay when the Tories come for a trashing of them. I will laugh when their bills for things that were capped under EU law skyrocket. I will laugh if and when it transpires that you need a ****ing visa to visit France. Only then will people realise the mistake they've made.

That said, I am delighted at how engaged so many people were in democracy and politics, it is great to see. Congrats to the Leave side, but your insults about sour grapes and being 'bitter' are completely pointless. Of course I'm ****ing bitter. This is MY future you've just ****ed, and I will bloody well tell you about it

Hope the Scots get another opportunity to get the **** away from Little Englanders and rightly take it this time

Excellent post Jack_.

If the Scots get another independence vote and go for it this time, I hope they will let me in, I would far rather support the Scots on this island.
In fact I may head off up there anyway.

Basically do the Maths for if everyone on both sides had've voted and Remain wins with 52%

You're telling ME to do the maths?

Lots of people who wanted to remain couldn't be bothered to vote, you included. You can't moan about the outcome now it's too late.

Well the fact that the one issue that the Leave campaigners did have did seem to only be about Immigration.

How do we run ourselves now that we're out of the EU? Because our leaders better have a good plan after pulling out of a stable market for us.

And what caused this result (and it's why this Referendum shouldn't have been handed out) is that the more negative side was gonna vote on this and of course they've screwed the majority of people that wanted to stay, over.

Glenn. 24-06-2016 11:38 AM

Worried about lack of immigration control makes you racist now?

Your comments seem very passionate. Shame you weren't passionate enough to vote.

There's been research into how all of the generations voted, and the younger people who have got to live in this country for many more years to come have got screwed over for older people's prejudices.

And I'm not saying that people should scream racist when people show concern about Immigration, it's when it becomes the sole reason for people to want to pull out of the EU is when it starts to look dodgy and really silly.

And I wish I had've voted tbh, I got really cocky and thought that the UK/England would've been smart enough not to **** ourselves over, I guess this country is thick like my parents.

And as you weren't one of those people who bothered to vote it's a bit rich to whine about the outcome now.

Show me this research.

You think the whole country is thick because it doesn't agree with you.

And you've just insulted your parents because they didn't agree with you. Nice.

And alllllllll this after you didn't vote.

With respect Mock, you are progressively illuminating the fact that you know very little about the EU, with each post you make.

I hate people that say this.

1. My 1 vote wouldn't have made a difference.

2. I do expect that my fellow countrymen and women should be able to vote for what's best for this country and not personally on a subject like this, this isn't a General Election where you can get away with ****ing up.

And also with how hectic my life has been lately (which is only gonna get worse thanks to the Leavers) I haven't had the time to vote.

The Brexit campaign has been full of mudslinging and thug tactics so it's a bit rich to act like one side is better than the other.

I don't think anyone thought this?

But to believe that any savings made will be directed to the parts of the country that actually need it was very naive, IF anyone believed that part of the leave campaign that is.

Well yes considering the most important thing in Politics is about Maths.:joker:

And yes I can moan when the majority of the people that did vote voted to screw this country over.

And not everyone has the time to vote, if you knew my situation you'd know what I'm on about so don't tell me what I can and can't do, it's no different to people telling you to stop talking about Immigration.

Yes.You presume right.I do know what xenophobia is.
Good we're making progress.Atleast we've now discounted racism from the reason Britain voted to leave.

So we're all Xenophobic or mostly xenophobic for wanting to have control of how many people we believe that our infrastructure can accommodate?Or for wanting to elect our own leaders?Or make our own laws?Or not give priority to small section of the world who want to come and contribute to our country?

The majority of people in Britain are not racist or xenophobic. That is a minority of people.

Your one vote, added to the others who thought the same way one vote might just have given you what you wanted. Why moan if you can't be bothered to step up? I spoke to a friend this morning with the same attitude so that's 2 votes remain lost.
