it's like the old Man U vs Arsenal games .... good times

The Slim Reaper 08-10-2023 04:15 PM

That' should have been a red imo, but I think it's 50/50 and would be classed as a subjective decision against Arsenal in that ESPN var ranking that Cherie posted.

i think the ref wants to keep the players on the pitch and make a game of it, which is a legitimate viewpoint. I do agree though that the tackles on another day would have seen him gone

Its a red. Both challenges were a booking so I'm not having the - keep it at 11 argument

It’s inconsistent though as they are sending people off when they shouldn’t be and not sending people off like Kovicic who’s already worthy of a red AND a yellow already and will probably score …

That was a yellow imho but then he should be off

Why didn’t VAR tell the ref to look at that first horror tackle on Odegard

Where’s the consistency

They should give refs some training on spotting players who just fall to the ground on any contact

this is the thing. People complain about bad VAR decisions, where teams are actively trying to con the refs in every single match

Zizu 08-10-2023 05:01 PM

What happened to the outlawed tackle from behind ?

It's not a legitimate viewpoint though. The red card is subjective, so it gets a pass, but titles can be decided on a ref trying to keep 11 vs 11 rather than making difficult decisions. I know, because we've lost out on 3 titles because of subjective refereeing over the last 6 years.

Underwhelming threesome

Not a chance. Arteta should've bought on Nelson instead

Swan 08-10-2023 05:23 PM

Nice dive by Jesus

bots 08-10-2023 05:25 PM

it was a scrappy game

MTVN 08-10-2023 05:26 PM

City are just sloppy this season, it's like they did it all last season and can't keep up that intensity

bots 08-10-2023 05:27 PM

yeah, city are several levels down on how they were playing last season

City dropping points last year was the reason why Arsenal were top for so long. They lost alot of players in the summer but I think City are as strong as ever.

GiRTh 08-10-2023 05:40 PM

I love the narrative above. Arsenal beat City not cuz Arsenal are improving but becasue Ciity are poor. :joker:

Crimson Dynamo 08-10-2023 05:41 PM

City had 4 just shots on target

lol
