It's not as if it's Schindlers List. That said I probably won't watch it again.

Think it was way too far fetched but yes, entertaining I suppose. My main problem with it was the two leads, who I can't handle at all. Never been a fan of Foxx - up his own hole - and Butler has no screen presence or versatility.

Sod all versatility, I agree, but I think he has screen presence when confined to certain roles.

Foxx is loged straight up his own arse though. Has been for years. Still, I had no complaints about him in the movie.

Still, at least we had another brilliantly generic Colm Meaney role to enjoy. I just cant take him seriously prowling around corners with a gun.

The Live Election Debates. Pretty good ensemble piece, although one of the three was completely out of his depth, while another looked like a bit part player galliantly trying to do his best with a role that was far too big for him, and as for the other -pompous little boy who can't see the trees for his ar£e.

Rob Roy. Such a great flick. Don't know how many times I've watched it at this stage.

WHAT????????????? I see no one else when he's on screen!

setanta 07-05-2010 04:45 PM

Niamh, you might fancy the hole off him, but that doesn't make him a good actor. Did you see him in P.S I love you? That was shocking stuff. I had to switch the thing off.

GypsyGoth 07-05-2010 06:22 PM

I think he's only been good twice in his career; the voice over for How To Train Your Dragon and the "this is Sparta!!" part in 300. P.S I love You was bad beyond belief.

yes I did but there wasn't much he could do with that role. He was great in 300, I like when he roars...............................
