Dan would do it in a more clever way. He isn't that stupid. They should let Dan know. Rather than letting him get blindsided. He would lose trust in his alliance. Especially if he finds out that Danielle knew about it before hand.

Just tell him that he might be going up then, they cant do anything to stop Frank because Frank will find out Ian told them and Frank would definitely put Dan up then.
