Hopefully It gest good ratings on Friday since there is no Football and it has stayed above 1 Million for all of the Football this week

This year launched with 2.1m, so I knew it wouldn't stay above 1.6 in the overnights. Had it launched with 3.5m for example, then it would be averaging around 2.5m. I'm thinking the producers can't wait for January's CBB and hope it does as good as CBB13 did. I mean these ratings are staggering for Ch5... CBB13 Launch- 3.69m Lee's Eviction (3 days before final)- 3.63m CBB13 final- 3.71m *peak of 4m. |
Although this is a "miserable" house with not much fun, it seems to be doing well.... in the circumstances.

Another decent rating against the footie
|
Decent rating against the football!!

Being completely honest this series is doing shockingly. Should be over the 1.5 mark consistently, People are forgetting that half the time big brother isn't even competing against the football. There is just no hype around this series whatsoever. Especially when you compare it to the last CBB. I know CBB rates higher but we should have held on to at least an extra 200-300k of them.
|
I'm slightly concerned about how it's going to do for the first couple of days of Armagaddon - it's up against the first two episodes of the new series of Utopia.

I doubt the Armageddon week will improve figures at all tbh. It might get a few peoples interest although the damage was already done on launch day in my eyes.

At the moment it feels very cheaply done with no promotion. If they promoted the show prior to launch figures would be far better. Sadly they seem to only bother promoting CBB heavily now. |
I'll be turning off if Ashleigh goes. But the Aramgeddon twist might boost it a little. But when it becomes the damp squib it so obviously will be, more will turn off
|
If tonight if 1.3m+than I don't think we need to worry at all. Monday managed 1.40m, so the twist next week could do 1.5m on the Monday?

It's holding up well. Especially for C5. C4 has fell apart at 10pm this week.

I read somewhere that Viacom's Channel 5 budget was going to be way bigger than it stands today as they care about the quality of programming and are less concerned with initial costs due to the large scale of the company. I doubt they'd get rid of regular BB over CBB, can you imagine the uproar! It'd also probably mean a decline in CBB ratings if that were the case, I mean, a million people still watch regular BB, I'm pretty sure a large majority would watch the CBB series too, remove that and CBB could be unfavourable.. look at C5 and C4 ratings.. so many people turned off out of pure disgust for C4 to cancel the show, and have never come back! I also think Viacom would do well with promotion. Look at Geordie Shore, that gets weeks of promotions, and not just on MTV.. I've seen it advertised on ITV before.. and it works! It's the most successful MTV show, regularly hitting over a million viewers per episode, and is near par with this year's BB overnight ratings.. In my eyes. Viacom taking control of BB and CBB can only be good! As long as the boards of Viacom insist that BB Producers promote well. Not tacky! We all have to remember, C5 actually has little control over BB. Instead BB producers have changed the design of the show to suit what they believe a more youthful audience want.. which channel 5 wanted! |

Also why are people suddenly agreeing with the idea them scrapping BB and keeping CBB is a possibility now when I got abuse for even suggesting such things last week lol. |
